Nahh, according to her earlier posts she’s pretty poor, stuck in an unsaleable flat somewhere outside Glasgow.

The posting style was spot-on for LadyG. Odd ramblings that make little sense and then edited a short while later. She even had a pop at the remaining mods in a different thread back over on CWF I think if you take a look at 'her' profile on t'other place at the moment she's identifying as a male. Maybe s/he's got that 'gender fluid' problem we keep hearing about from Piers Morgan 🤔 Well yes, she’s odd. She wrote “As probably the only lady on here who had hunters and went hunting and did a bit if farming...” earlier today. She’s definitely female.

I was recently asked to be a Beta tester for a company who write software for the music recording industry. I had provided some bug reports to them, so I thought they were interested in my skills being an ex software engineer. They insisted I sign an NDA. So as well as doing their testing for free, they also expect me to keep their bugs secret from the public. Yeah, right..,, Are they a US company? If so, their NDA will likely be to offer them some protection under Sarbanes-Oxley. I have signed many NDAs when beta testing software, it was no big deal. I’ve also signed the OSA, which kind of was a big deal.

So how come when my mate reversed the direction of rotation on the shaft on his ancient outboard leg the water started pumping? Has he got a reversing engine rather than gearbox? It’s a load of old crap I’m afraid - duff info for someone without a clue. the pump is driven by the drive shaft from the engine to the gearbox in the lower casing - have a look here to understand how the box works. there is no special care neeeded when assembling impellers in outboard water pumps -they do not need bending to suit their DOR, they are flexible enough to take the form they need when first installed as long as there is a bit of lube/water present to ensure they do not start dry. So he was simply driving the shaft in the opposite direction to the engine rotation I guess? Nothing to do with fwd/rev, simply that the engine turned the shaft anti-clockwise looking from the top?

I suspect 'socks' isnt who we think it is... and that its all orchestrated for a denouement. Or just somebody that really isn't well and perhaps not robust enough for forums. I've just looked at the CWDF list of Members, and both NB Lola and LadyG seem to to have been consigned to oblivion. Disappeared from both the 'Staff' and Membership List. Dunno why that happened. They’re both still listed as both members and moderators.

Tone generators are widely available. I have one. However when you get a bunch of wires all taped together the tone ends up appearing everywhere (although it is louder on the ‘real’ one).
Have a look on eBay. They’re cheap.
As previously mentioned, disconnect the power feed end first.

Sadolin used to be good but they seem to have taken most of the VOC'S out that made it so good! The Ronseal stuff is not bad, not as good as the original Sadolin but not as eye wateringly expensive as some of the more exotic gear that's available. A few months late on this but have you tried Le Tonkenois? I swear by the stuff.

It would be a better lesson if crowd funding produced bugger all. I suspect that's precisely the amount that it will raise. My understanding is that if a crowdfunding project doesn't reach the claimed total then it achieves nothing.
