what was the voting like individually. Was it still 44% to 40% at the end. About that, yes. I think 43%/40%.

It's a bizarre result.
The Tories got the most votes but didn't win. Corbyn lost and is celebrating. Europe is rubbing its hands with glee.

I blame May and her close advisors, what were they thinking... I'm not so bothered about a hung parliament but am very concerned that we still have a major numpty in charge! I agree with your first point but strongly disagree with your second. A hung parliament is always disastrous for this country (1923, 1973, 1977 for examples), particularly as we're just commencing Brexit negotiations.

Brexit negotiations with a hung parliament ..... oh shit ....... worst possible result for the country. How the hell can you negotiate with the EU when every stage will be wrangled over and slowed down. This could be a bloody disaster What if she went for a minority government. I realise without the backing she will struggle with brexit still I don't see how anyone (May or anyone else) can negotiate anything from a standpoint of "Well, I'll have to go back and ask." Europe will be rubbing its hands with glee at Basket Case Britain knowing that they have us on the ropes.

A hung parliament is a Disastrous result - any win is better than no win.

Are you not having a strake lower and wider than the gunnel edge? Less likely to get hooked up/stuck under brickwork etc. My boat has flat sides and it has a tendency to do that. Those dimensions that Phil posted are internal

And I note virtually no coverage of the fact that 8 serious terrorist attacks-in-the-making were foiled by the security services over the last 9 weeks. Only coverage of the ones they missed.

You will merely be part of the subject matter, and powerless. Â How about getting them to sign a small contract saying that you have the right to view the content to be televised before going on air, and that you have the right to pull out anything you think is unsuitable, or that you simply don't want. Absolutely this. I note that Betty is part of All 3 Media which is now a HUGE group of production companies making everything from How To Look Good Naked through to the story of The Victoria Cross and everything in between. Simply tell them that you don't want to look a twat in the finished programme so you'll be happy to take part on the proviso that you have the final say on the content that includes you. They will probably decline to use you on that basis but it's the only way I'd want to be filmed. It also gives you the opportunity to correct the glaring technical errors that will inevitably find their way into the script.

Still alive and working. Moved/got deported to Australia though. He knew his stuff, was first Rail Incident Officer on the scene at Ladbrooke Grove and taught me lots. Put the Special Constable hat on him though and he became a right arsehole. They say.. power corrupts total power corrupts absolutely or summit like that Absolute power corrupts absolutely 😀

It's awful. 3 family members had tickets, one for the night before, 2 for the night after. "Surviving unscathed" or a near miss leaves one with strange emotions. Years ago I was working in Trafford for a week, tried a different route every day, one day decided to go through the centre, down Deansgate, sat in traffic at the far end there was a special alert on the radio, an IRA bomb had exploded not long after we passed. A month after we stayed at the Hilton, Taba, Egypt a truck bomb drove into the foyer killing 50 people. I wasn't so much thinking "Shit, we could have been there" as I was thinking of the staff we'd become friendly with and the pretty girl who'd asked us if we would send her a copy of the photo we'd taken of her sat by the fountain in reception. All gone.

I think we paid around £200 pa. We told them the house was unoccupied and would eventually be up for sale. They took it completely in their stride. Which provider please? Thanks. Just went through the old paperwork. It was Veritass, the premium was £268 pa and it was 5 years ago. It would probably pay to shop around though - Towergate looks good from Quaysider's post above.

Yes, it's very simple as it turns out. You need 'landlords insurance'. We got buildings and contents for a very reasonable cost for 18 months while we sorted out FIL's house. Surely landlords insurance only applies if the house is actually occupied? Martin, I wouldn't have suggested it if that was the case. I was surprised too, but it's right, check it out.

Oh, and in our case (it varies from council to council) after the 6 months grace following probate the council tax was loaded by an extra 10% for it being an "unoccupied 2nd home" until the sale went through. Redcar and Cleveland charge flat full rate after six months even if it's still unoccupied and even if the furniture is removed. (So I was told by them yesterday.) Yup, as I said, it varies. Ours was Bradford Metropolitan. Do check out the Landlord Insurance though - it was totally painless.
