Hellion everyone...now this year it seems we are not actively hunting 'big red' so I guess it means we can embrace all the hype of this err.....delightful season.....Now I know I'm waffling(I do it so well you must agree) but as I couldn't wander over the 'Worms Head' at Rhossili bay this am...manky weather... I was forced to take to treadmill cos I felt...well bit sad, alone, neglected(violins here please)...and....drum roll.....on the TV it tells me that if i put up my Christmas decs early I'd feel just great...... so here goes......hang on another to follow...bet u cannot wait......and come tomorrow.....even more.....

I think the dwarf is going to have more of a say about Christmas and the level of effort I put in to decorating this year

The sprogs will probably decide when they want the decorations up but we will hold off giving excuses as long as possible. I biggest issue on a boat is finding hiding places for presents, so we've cleared a cupboard out and put a lock on it. Martha, the youngest came home from school yesterday and asked why the christmas present cupboard had a lock on it!

Why not keep the pressies on another boat and have that boater come round as Santa on the eve of 24th? They still need wrapping, and the neighbours all live on crappy little narrow boats, not lovely fatty boats like wot we do

that's pointless. 'Christmas' is a pagan festival hijacked by a bunch of sky fairy abusers who now think they have a monopoly on almost everything that is worthy. the best Christmas street decorations I have seen were in Singapore which is predominantly Muslim/Buddhist (if it's anything at all). On second thoughts it's probably predominantly atheist, but those pragmatic Singaporeans don't feel the need to shout about it

My Christmas consists (solely) of spending a few hours in the company of my 'delightful' sister and family. So huge is her ego, the very thought of spending time there listening to how good she is at everything and how her life is one long period of unadulterated bliss; makes me shudder. I'd throw a sickie but it would upset my mum, I love her very much.
Roll on the post-Christmas gloom that afflicts a high proportion of the population but to me is fairly contented normality.

They had a load of Snowmen which were suspended from street lights by ropes around their necks Phil

Know how u feel ...I've now disconnected with little sis for a while...couldn't cope with all the hyped up successes....the look at me how great I am.... I feel better in myself and now can just poddle along without feeling Ive gotta try harder to succeed at stuff....I just wanna be me....

The best thing about Christmas is 12th Night. I always used to have a 12th night (or a thank eff it's all over - in my mind) party!
