If you are looking at putting in low level vents and you have deck space to fit them one way to do it is by using butt weld pipe elbows. My barge has 3 of these for engine bay vents - 2x3 inch and huge 8 inch one. And 2 on the front deck with internal pipes leading to floor level in the cabin. They work very well. I blocked the engine bay ones for a day last winter due to a rat getting in and it made the engine bay all wet from condensation. I put grills over and it all dried out.
Cheap as chips you just have to cut a hole and weld them on. They don't take on rainwater

Agree with all that, I think part of the problem is due to the lack of low vents, combustion air for the stove has to come in through the (too few) mushroom vents, preventing the heated air from taking the moisture away like it should. It's all to cock.

You should also have mushroom vent liners in to stop the warm wet air hitting the steel

Get yourself one of these. www.kaercher.com/uk/home-garden/window-vac/wv5-premium-16334510.htmlReligiously do the windows and always use it on the shower when finished. Way better than having damp chamois leathers or microfiber cloths hanging about. It won't improve your ventilation of insulation but it's a good way of quickly as easily drying wet surfaces & condensation Dont get one of these they are junk!! mine has been replaced 3 times!! when I went to PC world they had boxes of them knackered under the counter utter and total crap my last one has broke and the warranty has run out total shite Well, ours has been fine so there!

Well, ours has been fine so there! Wish I could say the same as when it was working it was great Here's how to fix a duff one - ours hasn't played up but this is apparently a common problem. We use ours daily at home.
