I'm partial to 3 whiskys a night. Neat at room temperature and in a short glass
β¦that holds doubles.
Maybe with with an ice cold beer in front if the weathers bloody hot.
Adds up tho!!!

I'm.a good boy, I only drink on days with a Y in them.
On the boat I wait until the sun is over the yard arm, which is luckily quite low and coincidentally about the same time Wetherspoons start serving. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.
That said, school nights is a max of two cans of cooking cider/lager/brown beer.
Work is 16 miles away, the boat 12. No licence = major disaster.
I don't get proper hammered anymore, the dwarf is too full on with a wrecked head! I learnt that very quickly.

Yer right...dreamsΒ hehe to be fair they do try. and it ends on them trying very hard. unfortunately I'm not easy to get up anyway so in a normal day they get ice put of the freezer and Chuck if under the cover. they are sneaky gits and have many tricks up their sleeve

Always baffled me why noone fits urinals on their bathroom wall, emptying directly into canal...seems the ideal solution to meπ But there is - called the kitchen sink (see above).

Once had a friend who preferred that option to going out to the outside bog. I knew she was a nice girl cos she moved the dishes first.

I've been working my way across Eastern Europe one can at a time. There is some rough old strong shit knocking about, most are in the 6-7.5% range. Only a very few are actually palatable. High ABV doesn't necessarily mean rank taste - see Carlsberg Elephant beer. However; This 5.2% offering from Lithuania was very good.

Following on from Gazza's exploration of Eastern Europe, I have been doing some more localised exploration. I purchased a couple of beer in a box from The Jolly Sailor Brewery in Selby that were excellent but I haven't had a chance to go back to stock up. I was wandering through the beer aisle of Morrisons and came across "Old Moor" porter from the Acorn Brewery in Barnsley ....... I opened a bottle a bit ago ......it's very good !!! I opened a second bottle a bit shorter bit ago, it's very good as well !!! shortly in a bit I will be opening a third bottle ..... I bet that'll be very good as well !!! I wish I had bought more ............. but it's probably just as well

My last drink this May was at Twickenham at the Army v Navy match. Had way too much but still managed to get home without incident.
We normally have a dry ship coz the memsahib gave up booze when she got pregnant with our first and hasn't had a drop since. I will treat myself to a bottle or two of Cider when the mood takes me but these days i'm just as happy with a mug of tea, which is odd, because in my earlier years I wouldn't think twice after finishing a night shift and heading off down to Borough Market to sink a few before heading across the river to smithfields to have a few more, then back to home for a snooze before doing another night duty.
I do enjoy alcohol, all alcohol, Spirits Ale and Wine everything, I just don't partake as much as I used to...β¦.maybe because its too bastard expensive now

I was on a Waterloo-Twickenham train on the day of the army and Navy rugger. It was the busiest I have seen those trains (I don't travel at rush hour). I was en route to Egham for a spot of light motor-yotting down the River.
There were a lot of enthusiastic people on that train, all very good natured so I believe it would have been a good outing. As it happens I hate Rugby and all other physical sport but it did strike me as a jolly good show.

I've finished my tour of Eastern Europe through our local shop, some have been quite nice and drinkable others have been utter crap - be warned this is proper nasty shit :- It has no redeeming qualities, it wasn't particularly cheap, it was definitely not a particularly nice drink. It may be strong, but if you want to get shit faced at least do it with something drinkable! It makes Special Brew (which I quite like) seem like a Camra award winner. It definitely will not be gracing my fridge again. Don't be tempted to try it out of curiosity, you will be disappointed.
