I think my grandfather hailed from north of the border ..so I guess that makes me a little bit Scottish .. There are 2 contenders for position of my other grandfather..one died North of the border...one was part Maori and went back to New Zealand...my gran ran a boarding house for working men.....

Pretending to be something your not. They have a term for that, it's called cultural appropriation, or in other words colonialism. The vast majority of Scotland is owned by the English upper class. Your just a dinasaur that has had its day. Or is it “when in Rome” etc. (Although to be fair, it was in Northampton not Rome). The vast majority of Scotland is owned by foreigners - or at least Glen Feshie, where I am currently sitting, is (Dutchman I think). I am a dinosaur that is still thriving. A bit like a crocodile. Snappy!

He thinks it’s cool be be only marginally literate. Most other people grew out of that when they were about 18 but he’s a late developer.

I'm dyslexic so I'm never going to learn, it's a condition.

Looks like an Englishman pretending to be Scottish to me. Looks like an Englishman who’s lived in Scotland for 38 years and won an award in Scotland, presented in England, to me. If you had lived in, say Oman or Norway, would you have worn their national dress to the ceremony I wonder?

Especially if it was a skirt and I got to twirl round and round with no knickers on!

Tartan isn't Scotland's national dress, kilts and sporrans are all just nonsense made up to please that old bag Queen Victoria. The Scots all bend over backwards when visited by English Royalty, it's so embarrassing.
What force or guile could not subdue, Thro' many warlike ages, Is wrought now by a coward few, For hireling traitor's wages. The English steel we could disdain, Secure in valour's station; But English gold has been our bane - Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
