I lived in Morningside in Edimburrah in the late 70s for a year or two. Canaan lane. We used to go to the Highlands to interact with pleb fishermen and I once saw a Salmon the size of my sister (she was about 18 months old). It was in the back of a Land Rover short wheelbase probably a series 2 or 2a.
That's my claim to Scottish heritage. Oh and my birth name was Ossian but I changed it to Andrew when I was 11 because of idiots at school taking the piss of my silly name.

If Kris doesn't learn how to spell you're as in you are...I may have to stab him.Sorry Kris, but it's the retired teacher being a tw*t. ☹ Your being unkind to direct you're frustrations at Kris in this way. Twunt...

Skye - best seen from 10,000’ in a glider. The midges don’t go that high! And anyway, it’s not even an island anymore. Apparently.

is your friend .... LINKNever worked for me! Fortunately midges don’t like wind, and it’s windy in Scotland most of the time. When it’s not windy (in summer), best to go to the pub (and keep the windows closed!) or, go for an Indian and then make your own wind.

Park Inn Hotel? You didn't announce you were in town Sorry my mistake, Nottingham (Belfry hotel). I always get confused between those two towns. The curtain in the background looked familiar. I attended the ACU awards at the the Park Inn when my mate was British Sidecar Champion, I don't remember much about that night, bar for the curtain and the. Mustard and Ham sandwich my 'friends' got me from room service at about 02:00 in the morning. It was punishment for getting hammered, going AWOL and missing him being presented his pot

Anyway Jeff has been in Berlin this weekend, I’ve been at the gliding club. We left Woofer alone on the boat to look after it. The trouble is we have a near neighbour in the marina who is a bit of a pot head. No, a lot of a pot head. I think we may have left the window open and poor Woofer has been affected by dope fumes. Well anyway, he sent us this selfie this afternoon:

Is oxygen needed at certain heights? I've heard oxygen starvation can cause weird behaviour Rog

Considering he's had a smoke, poor old Woofter doesn't look too happy. Perhaps he knows you're coming back?

Anyway I have always been dead against owning a dog. I just can’t be doing with all the shitting and then having to pick up the warm poo in a bag and having to hang it on a tree. But Jeff assured me that wooly dogs didn’t do anything so basic and crude. I think he was mis-sold because look what “present” Woofer has left us... Yuk! Now I will have to spend hours crocheting a poo bag!
