As we all like them, here's a photo of a proper train seen earlier today. I suppose you think we are all chuffed to bits that you posted that image. I'm not.

Look what the Road Transport lobby did to our roads!
The decimation of the railway system by the same group was just an appalling bi-product.
But the clock cannot be turned back sadly.

I agree foxy. Its ridiculous. Railways should be state owned. Privatisation was just another greed driven scam. Maybe, but Railtrack is state owned and look at the almighty fuck up they have made with the new timetables in May. Let us also not forget that the CEO of Railtrack is also the highest paid civil servant in the land at around £800k per year. Now where would the money go if the rest was nationalised.

Its all a mess..so disillusioned with rail travel..'letting train take strain' IMO is causing much mental pain....lost count of how many horrible journeys Ive had with overcrowding/noisy/drink fuelled individuals...disgusting toilets plus lack refreshments on long journeys...in future early doors up and car if I can. Maybe the 'sweaty sweary TB'ers' should take over...

the CEO of Railtrack is also the highest paid civil servant in the land at around £800k per year. This is it, isn't it? Why is he getting so much when he is incompetent? The public should be demanding his hanging as he is clearly a traitor (I've got your money now go fuck yourselves type of Corporate Suit) and that the next incumbent's salary is a more reasonable-less-treasonable £50,000. Saw a lot of fatties in Malham too. The British really want to stop stuffing their faces with crisps and pizza and go and harangue people in Public Office much more. But they're pretty much like all the sheep we saw yesterday - scared and gullible, and mostly uneducated. Never mind, go and get both arms tattooed like everyone else so you fit in. Soon the Germans will be giving you free tattoos, as they did before. Maybe we should charge non UK residents more on the trains, licence fees on boats should go up if you reside in another country, that will level things out...

AF taking the piss now:
"Second position (in terms of requests made) for 2018 probably goes to "steve", (aka "Jenlyn"), formerly of this forum"
That's probably because of the secret black list you helped to draw up, Alan. Like to come out with the truth now? As with your distortion of the truth at Hillmorton Locks, getting poor lockie into trouble whilst trying to get your son off the hook?

on Ross's point is he incompetent? ., but at the end of the day it's all about juggling a lot of balls and keeping your eye on them. Dropping even one is a mistake and deserves punishment / disciplinary action / analysis of your cock up / swift kick up the posterior. You are mixing your metaphors badly. A juggler doesn't keep his eye on the ball, too many balls. Peripheral vision is the key, just gaze ahead, brain tracks movement of all, look at one, lose sight of the others. Any clown knows that Shirley. I'd have a well sore arse with a kick for every drop!

I'd say peripheral vision involves eyes.

Jim Can you juggle with your eyes shut, birdbrain? I can do 2 balls in one hand eyes shut. However i need eyes open for 3 in one hand, 3 in two hands or 4 in two hands. I would be interested to know if more accomplished jugglers can do more complicated things with eyes shut.
