I can sleep with my eyes shut. That's OK as long as you don't drive your bus when sleeping

I'd say peripheral vision involves eyes. Yes, but you were talking about 2 separate visual functions, focusing on one, as in football, tennis, whiff whaff etc, or unfocusing, looking at the audience etc, so your brain can ascertain the position of several at once. Juggling with eyes shut is just practice, till all your throws are accurate. Being an unemployed young layabout one has the time to do this. It's how I started. Keeping us off topic, as ever, just attended a workshop on Siteswap notation, a bit like music notation but with numbers, for juggling. My brane 'urts.

Lovely. The quickness of the hand deceives the slow witted!

One of my sons juggles and used to do fire eating..he's the neurologist..I'll ask him about eyes closed and juggling..I'm sure he'll have some deep meaningful explanation that'll pass right over us....

I can fly a helicopter in the dark. Does that count? I bought that Colin McRae helicopter simulator game for my PC but it was crap, it kept crashing.

I can fly a helicopter in the dark. Does that count? Well I cannot juggle, cannot fly a helicopter in the dark, ...maybe these skills are not essential in day to day living, or for us women to aspire to... I think it's Hamlet who says..'Frailty thy name is woman'..I'll just settle for that ..Apparently it means I'm 'breakable, delicate and weak'..
