"I had a Dairy Milk bar for the first time in 12 months, after being abroad for a while, and literally couldn't finish it. It honestly tasted like sick, and i must have had it about 2hrs ago and i can still taste it!" "Kraft are up there with NestlΓ© in terms of manufacturers I actively avoid. They promised the Cadbury staff there wouldn't be any job losses when they took over, and then closed the factory within 6 months. Absolute cunts." "Yeah I found a shop that sells foreign chocolate, so I bought some that I'd heard people talking about on the internet. It was all disgusting. Twinkies, Herscheys, fucking horrible. I'll never understand how Herscheys not only managed to perfectly recreate the taste of vomit, but also tricked an entire country into thinking that's what chocolate should taste like." "I never buy cadburys now ever. Their products now taste awful. Really low grade. Until Kraft make a public apology to the British people and reinstate the original recipes then no cash from me." I simply cannot understand the business model of Mondelez. There was a time when two-thirds of any sweetshop shelf would consist of Cadbury's product. Now it is probably less than one-third. Hundreds of thousands of people no longer buy Cadbury chocolate because of the massive deterioration in quality. So if they save a penny a bar by using cheaper ingredients, but nobody actually buys it any more, then where is the logic in that?

Maltesers are a serious weakness.
I am planning on staying 'sober in October' and will attempt to avoid bad food too.
Thirty one days.
How hard can it be.
Gulp.

Yep. I have Cadbury's on my Black List. I refuse to buy it. But the Freddo Frogs look fun and I did buy 35 of them for the kids on my bus (VΓ€li-Kannus run). Finland's Fazer company still seems to be independent and I have noticed no change in the taste, which is why I will still recommend their chocolate. Sweden's Marabou - nothing like the original - guess why.... Mondelez printed on the back.
The USA corporations do produce some really unhealthy and downright vile 'foods' and 'drinks'. Still, has anyone come across Russian chocolate, which is road dust and dried mud swept up and compressed?

I love Mr Stabby's naivety. Its a wonderful thing. He believes sweet shops are there to sell lovely sweets to innocent people and children and chocolates to overweight petite ladies.
No. .
Sweet shops are simply money laundering businesses to clean up drugs cash.

Wasn't the next day the most miserable one as you felt worse the longer the day progressed rather than better ?

I think I might think about, maybe just maybe, possibly, think long and hard about abstinence from alcohol...... for a bit ...... but a whole month ? ........ Nah !!! moderation in everything except Thunderboat ...... I might lay off it for a few days if I feel really brave (Someone kindly presented me with a bottle of very fine Barbadian rum, something I have not had for many years ....... it would be a crying shame if it evaporated during a month of abstinence and was wasted ) eta ...... cut down on food ? Hmmmm !!! (Yesterday at a hog roast !!! Yum !!!)

Rog You need to stop this nonsense now. Think of the effect on brewers and the he pub trade if we all do that. What are you trying to achieve with it?
