what about just leaving it plain ally?
I would have thought paint would tend to come off.

I will be celebrating the birth of Christ with a garlic chicken Kiev which I got in the reduced section at Morrisons, some piri piri oven chips and peas, and by putting a few coats of primer on my scooter wheel. Any luck getting it into the well deck? The whole scooter that is, not just the wheel.

Before I do I have to sort out the puncture on the rear wheel (the wheel in the photo is a spare the buyer gave me) and today is the first day I have to try to do that, but it's not as easy as it sounds as I have to take the exhaust system off to get at it and the nuts are proving extremely reluctant to come undone.

The only nuts I'll be having trouble with today are getting into the walnuts. Phil

I know I've not been about for ages, but I've been very busy and haven't had much worth saying, but I would like to wish everyone on here a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2019. Sods law has intervened and I'm recovering from a nasty bout of flu. Just Hoping I've recovered enough for our new year cruise. Anyway, all the best to everyone....🎉🎉🎁🎁

Yea, my mate is away on holiday at the moment but he has a trailer, a workshop, an angle grinder and oxy-acetylene gear so I'll wait for him to get back and we'll have a go at it then. Today I've bashed a few dents out and put a bit of Kurust here and there etc
