The only nuts I'll be having trouble with today are getting into the walnuts. Phil Give Diane Abbott a call? She'll come round to your place and crack them between her buttocks?

These things are rarely easy. Blow torch for a bit of heat maybe? Yea, my mate is away on holiday at the moment but he has a trailer, a workshop, an angle grinder and oxy-acetylene gear so I'll wait for him to get back and we'll have a go at it then. Today I've bashed a few dents out and put a bit of Kurust here and there etc <iframe width="29.4000000000001" height="5.18000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_68982749" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: -5px; width: 29.4px; height: 5.18px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="29.4000000000001" height="5.18000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_37271801" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1405px; top: -5px; width: 29.4px; height: 5.18px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="29.4000000000001" height="5.18000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_22212639" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 197px; width: 29.4px; height: 5.18px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="29.4000000000001" height="5.18000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_16688570" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1405px; top: 197px; width: 29.4px; height: 5.18px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> When can you introduce us, Stabby?!

Well, my Christmas Day wheel painting job is coming on fine. Three coats of primer and now it's inside next to the stove hardening off. As a Boxing Day treat I'll put the topcoat on, I'm hoping to get it on the bike a bit sharpish as I have an MOT booked for it on Saturday. I reckon once I've sorted out the bodywork the Funky Moped will be a right fanny magnet.

If fanny magnet is what you are going for, you could have saved a lot of money and taken on board a homeless mutt.

Just not possible while I'm regularly working 12-13 hour shifts. Wouldn't be fair on it. When I retire maybe. But anyway, the funky moped didn't cost a lot of money and will always be worth what I paid for it, and in ten years time probably a bit more, so the only real costs are the insurance, which was £69, the MOT will be £28 and the road tax £17.

Fair play, I’d love a bike again but, like you, current lifestyle doesn’t fit. It could be worse, you could get a woman... To be fair Mrs Bassplayer is wonderful as she doesn’t try to change the person she met...well too much..

Dogs are stupid. Cats are wise.
A border terrier puppy dropped into a lock mouth yesterday at Audlem flight, with the viscious bywash and the screaming and crying of the kids (family of four) I was sure it was going under. I rushed to assist, but puppy had swum to the bank and got hauled out by its collar. That could have been an awful Christmas outcome - it was a very close call.

Dogs usually sort themselves out. My dog went through ice on a pond when I was a kid. I was cycling across the pond with a friend but we turned back because it started cracking. The dog carried on and ended up in the water. She clawed at the ice it broke so she swam and clawed at it again and lifted herself onto it and walked back like nothing had happened. Another dog I had was mental and used to end up in the cut due to silly jumps including jumping off roof of narrow boat onto Marlow lock side when the the lock was empty. Straight down the lock wall into the chamber. Hauled out with collar quick shake then second attempt managed to get on the lock side. Its quite a deep lock Marlow. People always become distraught but dogs usually sort it out.
I expect the biggest danger would be crushing the beast.
