Just a quick update. Car is getting sprayed at the weekend and then i can start to install everything. Still struggling to sort out this missfire and the budget is seriously small now as any spare money i have now will be used to fund the trip. I am just awaiting replies from begging emails that I have sent to local garages. Misfire will be the HT leads.

Spent the day yesterday in that heat being a creative genius. I have even got the smoke coming out the the nose, will do a quick video when it's darker for the full light show. But here is our creation, so far. We did put more black around the top of front doors to give the dragon its full effect. Two weeks to go.

You may recognise this, everything works as intended. I even have the beacon connected to a button to change the pattern and the air horn is on another. The other button was intended for the smoke machine but as its a 220v machine I am not sure if the switch will cope. The wiring is still to be tidied up, but thank you for your help building the unit

The box is all about safety and for ease, it can be reused every year.
The safety bit is lots of fuses in there and proper earthing and as minimum wires a possable.
If that is possible considering the amount of stuff we are running

I have some good footage of the lights and recently added paging horn blaring out some music. But I can't put it on youtube yet as the car remains a mystery to the other teams until we arrive.
Just a few more jobs and she will be ready. Annoyingly the fan seized and radiator cracked.
Good news is we should have a replacement and it's better to go wrong now than after we leave.

Well, it's been a big week. Fixed the misfire, radiator exploded, sourced another and that blew a hole.
So for thinking and removed the thermostat, sheared two bolts off.
It was knackered so brand new thermostat brought, brand new rad. £35 a bargain.
All this 3 days before we are due to start. Thread wizard drilled out the studs. So today I managed to rebuild the cooling system. And she is running.
We leave in the morning. I'm a bit annoyed as i wanted to raise 2k from our team but were stuck at 1100.
Hopefully when I start sharing the car and people see us on the road. We will raise a bit more.
If anyone is on Facebook/Instagram. Get your bangers out 2019 or gybo2019. And you will see loads of videos and pics of the whole weekend.
Can't wait.
