Seems as this years rally was cancelled we are preparing for next year's event. This year we were going to do blues brothers as it would have been easy to prepare. We said we would do back to the future next year as we had more time to plan. Well we have searched for 6 months for the right car and were about to give when. We spotted this car getting broken for parts. So a quick message and he is prepared to let us have it as a whole. now we're the proud owners of a sirrocco 1.8 GT. The delorean replica is on. So now I have to spend lots of time planning and trying to source bits as cheap as possible, well the intention is to use what is actual rubbish for free, wiring, switches. Etc etc. I am going to design the outside and inside and hope to show the car off at various events and places in order to raise thousands. I'm only going to do this for massive fundraising. Here is a simular one.

Excellent !
I really like the 80s look of these.
Teacher at my secondary school had a scirroco storm. Slightly different body on it but also cool.
I would never knowingly own a VW group vehicle though.

Well we collected it, the picture i gave was an old one. The previous owner was a mechanic and had stripped it ready to paint. Unfortunately he had left the doors off for a while and its a bit soggy inside. First job was to put the doors and bonnet back on. Next job is to persuade a painter to spray it silver for as little beer tokens as possible, we can then finish rebuilding it and get it mot'd Already got lots of parts with some large ali express orders and some rummaging in scrap but need to do some fabricating around the rear first.

Back to the future 1 or 2 though, food processer on the back? we have discussed that, were going with 1. Although it maybe easier as you say to stick a food processor or an old soda steam on the back. We even discussed putting a working coffee machine there but decided to put it inside so we can use it on the go.

I will have some electrical questions though, very soon. There's going to be a lot of electrics on this one.
