The Fox is in the launderette this morning, possibly the worst aspect of boating.

Stick washing in ... go to the nearby cafe.
Not such an onerous task, in fact I quite enjoy it.

Tut ... what am I saying ... it's a Hudson ... probably makes tea as well Rog I quite agree, can’t abide washing hanging around. That’s why we have a tumble drier. A seperate one, as I find washer-driers tend to dry clothes by frying them, leaving them horribly creased.

If also one has a decent size power supply, one can also commence a second wash whilst the dryer copes with the first load.

I love turtles too. They are pretty rare in most parts, Indonesians will eat them if they get the chance. Sumbawa, where I've just moved from, has few people and Sekongkang Bay where I stayed is pretty well at the end of the road, very few people live on the coast east of here, for over a hundred miles. They are so funny to watch, they just pop their heads up and look at you for a few seconds, they look tiny, then you see the real size of them as they roll on the top before disappearing. I saw one on the beach at first light, a large loggerhead, think it was resting after laying its eggs. It wasn't happy to see me, started making strange grunting sounds so I left it alone. Covering eggs at Cooke Point, Port Hedland – not that far from Bali.

OMG! We are shocked and outraged! Well, you are anyway. I was shocked that you were unaware that things are drier after they have been through a dryer. One has been taught to expect high standards from alumni of a proper skool eta I was also shocked and amazed that Charles missed it

I blame my mother who always refused to have a tumble dryer in the house. And my classical education - the Greeks and Romans didn’t have ‘em. Therefore as a young and impressionable yoof-thing I was never exposed to the word. Call social services!
