Yes it's very odd ... usually the spelling is the only correct thing about his posts Rog PS Of course I'm only joking ... we all love our resident scholar

I love turtles too. They are pretty rare in most parts, Indonesians will eat them if they get the chance. Sumbawa, where I've just moved from, has few people and Sekongkang Bay where I stayed is pretty well at the end of the road, very few people live on the coast east of here, for over a hundred miles. They are so funny to watch, they just pop their heads up and look at you for a few seconds, they look tiny, then you see the real size of them as they roll on the top before disappearing. I saw one on the beach at first light, a large loggerhead, think it was resting after laying its eggs. It wasn't happy to see me, started making strange grunting sounds so I left it alone. Covering eggs at Cooke Point, Port Hedland – not that far from Bali. What were you doing there? -its definetly not one of the more salubrious places on the NW Coast

All well and good when you stay in one place with your own computer - you try packing all your essentials & a computer, old fashion phone etc when there is a strictly enforced 10kg bag limit (1 bag only) when your travelling

I could always buy extra clothes and post them home when returning if they won't fit in. I used to do that when cycle touring. I have a Samsung E1150, it has survived the washing machine test. I can understand it's a great thing if you are upwardly mobile, but at this moment my next move [if liveaboard] is towards a tablet. and maybe a phone thing with pictures, but only as part of a package. I'll keep my PAYG, it's my essential when travelling.

I use a 'stylus pen' for this touch-screen phone. Doesn't work for every touch (screen fault? pen fault?), but much more accurate than with fingers (or willy). I notice that if one letter/symbol won't "go" then you can touch another one, and when that works, delete it, and the original symbol will become 'alive/responsive'.
I don't know how touch screens work, but it is amazing. Apart from when they don't work.
