What a difference a day makes ! Grey, cloudy and windy this morning but at least it's dry for the present and milder. Not moving today as we're walking round to visit friends this afternoon. Looks a better day on Saturday so we'll move then. I need to get a new chimney liner and get the flue swept out. Rog I just love a certain person's description of you-'...your thick'.Oh,the irony !π

When I drag mine past behind the light cruiser I hope they are going to be wondering if I nicked one. Only theirs are a lot less scruffy on account of never going through locks. I am considering an additional piece of D fendering as I have some scratches. Either that or rope bights like one gets on lifeboats. That would work as fendering. ftfy Not at all. I don't need a reputation. Fortunately I generally chat to people so they 'get it'. When I first got the launch someone did report it to the EA as being stolen but this was checked and it turned it out is actually my Boat and the purchase was transacted by a card payment to a registered charity not a cash deal.

I feel I'm missing the joke because I have a couple on ignore ... but I refuse to view.
We're on our way to Rugby tomorrow to do laundry and shopping, intend to call at Armada Boats for service parts, then we're on our way down the G.U.
Really looking forward to seeing what it's like after 7 years.

In other news it looks like I am going to be awarded two more bottles of single malt on account of towing someone during red boards when his outboard broke down and also retaining the very expensive racing kayak paddles from the blue light emergency which occurred during the devizes westminster kayak race.
I took them off the tree and claimed them so that no random passer by would get them. This resulted in the need to ransom them when I found out who they belonged to and that each paddle is Β£250.

Blue skies, glorious sunshine, dry and little wind βοΈ Fabulous. Rog You're up early! Lovely here - just had an hour meandering through a beautiful, scented bluebell wood in the dappled sunshine. Coffee now and then off for an early cruise while it lasts..... Have a good day, everyone.

Glorious sunshine. I am going for inspection tours upriver a bit just to check all is well before I turn 50 in 9 days time.
Then I have to get my shit together.
For now the prior itty is Boating.
After ten yars existing considerably on the inner city ditch it is nice to be freed up somewhat.
Spring is always the best time on the River anyway.
Might hit Oxford if I can be arsed.

Beautiful morning for cruising ... blue sky and sunshine but that wind is still chilly. Called at the chandler's and services (but elsan is out of order) then attempted to call for diesel at Dunchurch Pools but two boats already on the services so we abandoned that and carried on to Hillmorton. Lots of happy hire boaters about. Took snaps of two Braunston 'landmarks'. Rog
