Yes ianali, that would have been our friend Pat on Jumelous. They're heading back to Heritage and then home as she's having a replacement knee done next week (brave lady, had first done last year). We're up in Bugsworth now. Managed a walk into Whaley and picked up loads of books in the various charity shops, then Tesco on the way back. Knee held up well too We let the fire out last night ... had to before we melted. Rog Hope her knee op goes well. Bugsworth mmm I hope if you visit the Navigation that there is no bad language within headshot. I enjoyed sitting in the evening sun watching the planes around Manchester.

Glad they're dredging below Bosley, but I do hope they continue and dredge above the locks too.
The Upper Peak Forest is truly beautiful, especially in the sunshine, but it is seriously shallow.
I'll no doubt be drawn into the Navigation ... I'm easily led, but it won't be today.
After a few days in the company of friends, it's rather pleasant to briefly abstain.
Every night at a party ...
Rog

Down here it is exceptional, the sun has been shining for a few days now.
Lovely and getting hotter.

In the middle of nowhere at the moment... the kind of place where you could run your engine at two o' clock in the morning if you wanted to, and no-one would even notice...

Well, now I am heading back to Liverpool, I have the 9th-16th (Sunday-Sunday) booked. My boy Sam and my Mum are coming up on the 9th, Sam will stay on the boat and I've booked a room in the Campanile for my Mum. They are going back on the Thursday and I think my brother is driving up on the same day to spend a few days on the boat too. So I have a couple of weeks to kill now, I'm back at Burscough Bridge and I'll probably stay here for a few days and then take a slow run up to Bridge 20 and go through next Friday.

Well, I was going to move tomorrow but then I saw this... I'm moored almost next to where it's happening so I might have a nice meaty barbecue on the front deck if the wind's blowing in the right direction. Meanwhile, right now I'm watching the England vs Denmark women's football on the telly and you'll never guess what just happened.

Coincidentally, I have a huge swelling. All ready to leave Bugsworth, and cruised to the service point to water up etc. and meet Jane, who'd been out for a walk. My knee, that had been pretty good for three weeks suddenly ballooned. Back on a mooring and taking pain killers and anti inflamatories. It's just beginning to settle down since 11am. By golly it hurts until the drugs kick in. Serves me right ... was thinking the man was wrong and my knee wasn't as bad as he suggested Rog

It’s quite smartly refurbed but seems to consist of young staff and no real management. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t give it long.

Are they still doing food ianali , and does it look ok if so? The meals used to be simple fare but jolly good. Be a pity if they've messed it up. Rog

Menu is the usual really but didn’t eat so can’t comment. They had just doombar on tap ales wise, run out of black sheep...Ali just told me to stop moaning as it was ok. Otherwise I have to walk to Poynton again, which is a good point!
