Fox, you are obsessed by racist complications. You have something against everyone who is not like you, and that's pretty much the rest of the world. You've rather spectacularly missed the point here, which is that television advertisements seem to be being used to promote racial diversity, rather than depicting situations generally observed in everyday life. So the question has to be "What is the agenda here?" I think the agenda is advertisers want to sell shit no one needs to everyone, not just white British households.

Ah, racial diversity, yes on Sky News this morning an Asian writer was bewailing the fact that out of all the thousands of books published each year less than 1% of the characters in those books are Asian. Personally I never give a thought to the ethnicity race, creed or whatever of the characters of any book that I read, it's simply a question of "is it a good read" Phil I find it odd that people from Bangladesh and Pakistan are described as Asians. I thought they were Indians. yeah, right, they come from the wild west, innit?

PS ... badgers live to be wise old things Not in my experience- most of the badgers I see are too thick to have thought "I'll just wait until that 44 tonne lorry has passed before I cross this road". you need to get out a bit. if the dead badgers are most of the ones you see then you are missing the healthy breeding stock that makes up 99% of he population. if they were mostly getting hit by HGVs there'd be no need to cull them. anyway, I'm all in favour of bringing back fox-hunting, to keep it all in balance.

Anyway, firstly anyone complaining about TV adverts is admitting to watching ITV, aka Council TV. ‘Nuff said.
Secondly, adverts are usually aspirational not representational.

I've no idea what Market Street is, It's a kind of Disneyesque pastiche of a northern street market which Morrisons seem to favour, except it isn't really very convincing, not least because it is in a supermarket and not outdoors. well, I dunno about the disney bit - our local one is just ornery but it's selling great fresh meat, freshly baked bread, hot roasted meats, fresh fish et al. The huge Asda just up the road has none of that, nor has Tesco, Waitrose or Sainsbury's. ............... but the stuff to be found in their chillers and freezers offers very little choice, less than Aldi or Lidl actually.

Oh,oh,oh the shame...I have seen council house tv.😟In my defence,I've never bought McCain chips or anything similar. I buy McCain chips, mostly because they are pre-cooked (chips need to be cooked twice) and the extra cost of buying them is more than offset by the saving on the cost of gas required to cook raw potatoes from scratch. And the effort of course. Funnily enough, when I started out driving a truck one of the first jobs I had was loading potatoes from Belgium and Holland and taking them to the McCains factory in Easton, Lincolnshire. They had a very thorough quality control procedure in place which included cooking several batches of potatoes from the load and checking that they met various standards including being within a certain colour range after cooking. Any loads which were rejected by McCains used to be delivered into Marks and Spencer, who are not exactly known for selling sub-standard food.

The only frozen chips I like are curly fries & I dread to think how they are made.Funny really,as I grew up with a proper chip pan for making proper chips.I'd be terrified of a real chip pan now,yet I used to frequently cook myself a pan of chips after a night out! Those were the days.😊

I don't think most adds are representative of the typical British family. I hadn't noticed that most of the blokes are black, I'll accept the assertions from the learned posters on here that that's indeed true. What strikes me about them is that the wives are, without exception, unbelievably fit. This is not representative of the average British wife who, if I didn't have such low standards, would require me to sink a fair amount of strong alcohol before I would even consider boning them.

"Has anyone else noticed that on all TV adverts these days there are NO white couples. EVERY couple on tv adverts now have to be mixed race. I’m not entirely sure why this pisses me off so much much but it does. Probably because it’s a lie." "Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got nothing against mixed race couples whatsoever. I know a few black blokes. They are going out with black women. I know lots of white people. They are going out with other white people." "I guarantee it’s done by white women that live in 99% white areas, that wouldn’t spit on a black bloke if the poor cunt was on fire." "I have seen these indoctrination “bites” masquerading as advertisements, and it really makes MY piss boil too!" "I have been in a mixed race relationship (wife of Indian decent) for over 25 years. Like most couples we disagree about a lot, but not when it comes to these forced multicultural propaganda bollock adverts and wider programming. We consider them a fucking insult. On the bright side, without them we’d have one less thing to feel united in our hatred of. If business /marketing /media think they can get us to waste more of our hard earned cash on their unnecessary tat by ramming a bunch of bogus diversity drenched crap across our TV screen night after fucking night they must be even stupider than I took them for, themselves taken for £millions by advertising agency parasites who wouldn’t recognise a real life scenario if it came up and ripped their oxygen wasting lungs out." "On the other hand, white families and couples are only used when the advertisers need someone to look down on or humiliate. The ad below ticks a lot of brainwashing boxes: newly married couple, white male (submissive and incredibly stupid), and white sociopathic wife, clearly up to no good." Fox, you are obsessed by racist complications. You have something against everyone who is not like you, and that's pretty much the rest of the world. I disagree. I simply like to expose the hypocrisy for what it is. It's the same here in Finland on the TV, and even in Germany in the 1980s I saw this happening - a huge poster on the streets, all white Germans - and then there's one Turk thrown in because we must have the diversity rammed down our throats. Why not have 30% Turks? The one is chucked in to remind us 'they' exist - don't forget the obligatory Chinese also, these days! They have the money, you see, and we'd better molly-coddle up to them or they might go to some other University and take their money with them. On a personal level, I don't mind the Chinese, they seem polite and well-mannered. I have worked with Turks, however, and what I experienced has put me off them - blame them for their behaviour, not me for condemning it.
