Non-stop row of permanent moorers. At the end there is an elsan disposal point, a water tap and room to turn round (well, our boat anyway, 40-foot). Why not go to Google Maps and click on satellite view?

There's a DIY shop/store at the end - if you feel like doing something yourself.

Only been down on the boat once, many years ago.
Limited available mooring, and the road alongside the canal is very noisy.
Much pleasanter to moor in Bugsworth and walk into Whaley Bridge.
Train into Buxton from Whaley Bridge is a pleasant day out.

Much pleasanter to moor in Bugsworth and walk into Whaley Bridge. You can walk along the canal towpath, or along a narrow, quiet road - Silk Hill (between Whaley Bridge & Bugsworth Basin).

Deffo recommend bugsworth. It was nice and quiet when we went even though it was Easter.

Bugsworth is nice but the centre moorings were ankle deep in goose deep when I was there a few years back.

We went right at the back in the last arm, shortest distance to stagger back from the pub

dont bother trying to moor in whaley - it's noisy and shallow... just do your shopping in tesco and go round to bugsworth... we spent a couple of nights in there the other week and once the by pass quietens down, it's smashing... and the pub is good too!

Whaely Bridge only has around 3 visitor moorings, the rest are permanent CRT moorings. No difficulty in winding a 60 foot boat in the basin, probably can do a full length one with ease and skill.

If staying longer than 48 hours then encouraged (expected) to make a reasonable donation to BBT although when frozen in I would have expected some discretion.
I should add that on the occasions I have overstayed (and donated) I have not had a problem.
