Has anyone done their own ?
I quite fancy having a go as ours is a short, letter name ... we don't want boxed shading or multi colours.
I'm thinking perhaps chalk the outline letters until I'm happy with them, and then simply fill it in.
Any hints or tips if you've had a go ?

Well I suggest that if you think it’s a 5 letter name it’s all going to end in tears. I think it is not going to look good even once you’ve worked out the correct number of letters. Signwriting is a skill that takes years to perfect. But feel free to prove me wrong!

I didn't go to a proper school but at least they taught me how to count to ten.

Even a highly experienced signwriter can fuck up because he mis-calculates the number of letters in a boat's name and has to alter the spacing halfway through the job.

It's the number that's only five figures ... we were just looking at the vinyl boats site and pricing it up ... Jane likes the old bridge and rushes logo and they do it.
Jane wants to do vinyl letters too ... I want to have a go at painting the name.
I just wondered if anyone had tried it.
