There is no such thing as a 'sea' bass just like no thing as a 'sea' gull. (If I may be so bold...) eh? Are we herring you right? Sea bass are found on restaurant menus, often served on a bit of old roof at great expense. I think they idea was slated by Ricco previously.

I wish, Greta Garbo was a very rich woman. Hehehe! The reference is to the other famous Greta, climate warrior, who would, according to Clinton Cool, be all the better if he gave her a good seeing to. Which would be incest. Still if you are into that sort of thing... Mums the word eh.

Talking of EEL, has anything more been heard about eastern European lady and her boat and the murder, were they connected?

don't worry, it frequently gets very confusing on here, sometimes you can't help but be left floundering about

I am in the process of selling my grp cruiser and will be looking for another boat.My present boat is fine for day trips and a few days away, but because of low cabin headroom my back starts playing up.Had seven nights aboard on my last trip, and with mincing around the cabin like a gay huncheback dwarf,my back was killing me. Next planned trip will be three to four weeks long so my present boat is unsuitable for this length of time aboard. Because of crushing penury,I will be looking for a bigger grp boat or a cheap steel narrowboat (some hopes!)Springers are on the look at list and as I don't have the price of a decent narrowboat,I will be looking for one that needs overplating hoping the owner will be happy to sell it for a knock down price. From my bit of research overplating is around £150 per foot plus extras like raising the weed hatch and exhaust and hull outlets plus lift out/in. I am not happy to buy a boat that has already been overplated as you don't know who's done it or to what standard.I think it is better to have it overplated myself so I can keep an eye on the job and if it's done properly the hull should be good for another 20 years.

I'd go along with your thinking, overplating done by an unknown welder is always a worrying feature.
Be careful with your estimates for steel at the moment prices are rocketing
