It might well be, . . if any of the Burscough locals were sharp enough to prompt the media into quizzing C&RT about an apparently undesirable situation that appears to be entirely of C&RT's own making.

Perhaps everyone paying 'their dues' would help with repairs. Rog Care to elaborate on that, . . without relying on the other Mr Shit-for-Brains for inspiration ?

. . . // . . . from the 2000 miles of potential recreation provided free by the CRT . . . out of the pockets of taxpayers, and boat Licence holders. Obviously, but he may be neither a taxpayer nor a boat licence payer. The answer, obviously, is to charge for car parking as the NHS and the National Trust are wont do 😉, if he moans about that he can just avoid any charges by staying at home, a secondary benefit being that he won't get negative vibes from ugly barges.

Judging by the local internet pages, theres more interest in dogshit on the streets, fireworks and chemists opening times than the shite opinion you post. Perhaps the Burscough locals need a ‘leader of men’ to take on the battle one (supposed) resident has against a situation apparently entirely of CRT’s making?

We're all taxpayers, in one form or another, . . and along with public car parking charges applicable to C&RT controlled land should go the collection, and strict enforcement of a Cycling Licence fee, . . and rules. Towpaths are not a public right of way, and are a shamefully neglected potential source of a serious amount of income.

The car park in question by the writer of the complaint, is a ‘free to use’ carpark and CRT have nothing to do with it. 🙂

I imagine they even started the Coronavirus. As Rog pointed out, the thieving scrounger is the last person qualified to say what CRT should be spending the licence fees they receive on.

Ah right, after living in the area for umpteen decades, I hadn't realised that that stretch was used to accommodate all the stranded boaters due to unscheduled stoppages , I always thought it was popular due to its location and surrounding facilities. 🤷🏻♂️ You're right, he's obviously a twat that Parry bloke!🙄 What I in fact said was -- " it could be that some or all of those boats are there because of the two long term stoppages " -- NOT the same wording or meaning as -- "that stretch was used to accommodate all the stranded boaters due to unscheduled stoppages". The point I'm making, and that you are missing, is that through its planned neglect, and consequent frequent extensive closures, of the L&L and every other canal in its destructive clutches, the C&RT has placed itself in a position from where it cannot legitimately enforce any rules concerning boat movement or duration of stays at any location. Your bile has drained lad. Can we have some new nicknames please.

Still struggling, and failing, to work out what distinguishes a Pleasure Boat Licence from a Pleasure Boat Certificate, . . and the circumstances under which either one or the other is needed to pay one's "dues" ?

Have you got "Halcyon Daze" back yet? I mean, it's over a year now since you issued your ultimatum to return it by "tomorrow". Did they do that or did they completely ignore you, making it clear that they considered you to be a totally inadequate little runt of a man, not even worth responding to? I'm guessing "Option 2".

It's a pity that this forum has degenerated in to an anti Dunkley feeding frenzy, it detracts from my enjoyment and, dare I say wellness 😁 Unfortunately Dunkley has contributed in no small manner by his posts. I would suggest to him that in his own self interest, he refrain from feeding the trolls, ie stop posting, stop rising to the bait.
