Maybe unvaccinated people should just be denied nhs hospital space. That would be an interesting setup. Tellymacarse has already suggested this. They don’t need any encouragement so stop it.

the "right of free speech" cannot be allowed to rule the roost for much longer. I've always fancied a bit of tyrannical despotism.

It beggars belief that people are dying in increasing numbers from cancer and such like, while badly informed selfish un-vaccinated assholes occupy hospital beds and compromise the efficiency of the NHS. My hip replacement surgery has recently been scheduled and cancelled 3 times, the last time at 4 days' notice. Luckily hip problems are not fatal and I can live with the consequences albeit in considerable pain, but postponing cancer treatment is very likely to be fatal. What is worse is that ignorant conspiracy theorists are able to spread their irresponsible crap without intervention. In a world increasingly steered by social media content the "right of free speech" cannot be allowed to rule the roost for much longer. I recall occasionally witnessing the loonies who used to spout nonsense at Speakers' Corner near Marble Arch - the difference is that if the message became too outrageous the speaker would be drowned out or egg-splattered by the audience. When a stupid commentator like the Resurrected One claims he doesn't know anyone who has had covid I can only conclude that he lives in a bubble and doesn't know anyone beyond his co-habitees. Yes, free speech is fine but it should come with consequences. As it does with libel/slander. There should be a criminal offence of spreading false information and of course the first step to that is to disallow internet access without your identity being easily known to the police at least. No more anonymous accounts on facebook/twitter etc. If you have something to say you should be confident to be identifyable and accountable.

It would be clever if the anonymity thing was dealt with. identifiable Also as for spreading false information how would that work if it turned out the vaccines caused health problems later? Would anyone who had been strongly advocating the vaccines be in the dock?

Me too. I'm not very up to date with modern weapons. the last truly educational one eas when the Iraqis were throwing scud missiles around. We even named the lead darts at school "scuds".
I imagine there will be some tasty gear for tabloid papers to do articles on.

For the unjabbed, take care, just did 2 lfts both positive, with the supposedly non existent covid. Got PCR tests booked for tomorrow. Had my 2 jabs and booster so cross fingers... Couldn't sleep last night, feel shite today. Is it worth not getting the jabs cos you've listened to Tracey, Karenand Ross spreading irresponsible nonsense on the internet. Have I understood this correctly? You've had both jabs and the booster but you have Covid anyway? Thought you were brighter than the fox, seems not.

Well, the good news is that you don't need to worry. I have the Omicron myself at the moment and it's no worse than dozens of Winter colds I've had in the past. It's not even as bad as Man Flu.
