And I’m convinced there was a lot of self interest amongst political brexiters. Anyone who still believes Brexit hasn’t damaged our country must live in cuckoo land. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣. rubbish. Do you work in any sector related to the import and export of good from/to Europe?

So you have not seen any delays or cost increases due to brexit? Small ones, but nothing that would suggest the country is in turmoil because of brexit. The biggest problem is that much of british industry fucked off to europe in order to take advantage of cheap labour and stuff its shareholders pockets with lots of cash. Now the country is suffering from that exodus of greed, and it will take some time to rebuild. Anybody suggesting brexit is the culprit of our present woes is fuckin stupid. A pandemic and a war are the culprits, but of course, most remainers will grasp at any straw they can find in order to rub their pain.

Wallace gets my vote. He doesn't have any dual nationality, doesn't have a wife fiddling tax, doesn't hold a green card and is capable of the job. Of course the problem he does have is he's white and English. He is the one I have a lot of respect for but I think as Defence Minister he is exactly the right person, in the right place, at the right time.
I am pretty sure he would make a good go of being PM but who the hell is there around that could replace him in his current position.

I (and a lot of other pro Brexit supporters) never made any secret of the fact that we reckoned there was going to be a fairly tough couple of years, especially with the spiteful attitude Monsewer has when thwarted.
Those tough times were forecast without Covid, and that nice Mr Vladimir Vladimirovitch stirring the shit as well, anyone who doesn't think it has made things many, many times worse is well ..... thick
This Youtube article was published after we had left the EU and a few weeks before the Ukraine invasion started. It shows which way France and Germany were trying to push the EU.
a rather frightening direction in my view

Keep on shopping in Lidl and Aldi if you want to support Germany's Fourth Reich.
thebfg; "That's just a tin foil hat conspiracy theory!"
Several years later when Germany dominates Europe, thebfg: "Anyone could have predicted that!"
The EU = Germany taking over by stealth. They are still bitter about losing two world wars.

The EU = Germany taking over by stealth. They are still bitter about losing two world wars. You're still in so that's your problem mate ..... we're well out of it I said way back around 1991 as Finland was going to join the EU that it was a mistake - and look where we are now: Romanian gypsies begging in the cities, trucks with LT (Lithuania-registered) plates with their attendant cheap-labour slaves, Finnish EU-Parliament members doing nothing but sucking up huge salaries & pensions... but then look at the UK: every corner shop run by Indians, and every high street sporting little but Polish shops (with the windows mysteriously covered up in sticky plastic), kebab shops, betting shops, and charity shops. As Spiny Norman says, when one thinks of what good has come out of Brexit, so far it's a list that can be written on the side of a matchbox. At least the double yellow lines provide a splash of colour!

"Newark has the largest population of Gypsies and Travellers in the district, some 317 pitches on 14 sites at present."
"The Newark district has a long-standing connection with the Travelling community, with estimates of around 25,000 people from Gypsy or Traveller backgrounds living in the area."
Sounds wonderful.

Newark is a cracking place,a castle,a museum or two plus lots of interesting shops & cafés.Most boaters know about the large travellers' site there which has no impact on normal boating activity. P's bday today,so curry tonight.😋
