Newark is a cracking place,a castle,a museum or two plus lots of interesting shops & cafés.Most boaters know about the large travellers' site there which has no impact on normal boating activity. P's bday today,so curry tonight.😋 If you are there on Tuesday then try "Just Beer" odd little place .... 32A Castle Gate (little yard down an alley off Castle Gate more or less opposite a chippy)
Only real ales and real ciders mostly from local craft brewers, closes early Sunday and is closed Mondays staggered out of there a few times ...... excellent !!!
I will get back there some day soon
ps usually moored just opposite the Castle is the preservation Barge the "Leicester Trader" a little museum collection on board and a great collection of pictures.
Les is great to chat to about the river.

Had a couple of drinks with Nick & Jeff in Newark, maybe 4 years ago. Big barge place on the river. Nice town I remember.

Sexual offences,I must be trawling the wrong areas of Newark... A pensioner like me needs extra funds to go to the local Waitrose or M&S food hall.😁😁
