[br I’m not getting drawn into a Brexit debate but anyone who thinks it isn’t effecting travel in and out of the UK lives in cuckoo land. I am not saying it doesn't ..... but I am saying there is a very strong tendency for people who were against Brexit to blame everything that is wrong on it whatever the real cause.

It’s like pretty much everything, lots of grey areas. I didn’t agree with Brexit but I don’t blame it for everything.

What has Brexit got to do with the owners of airports saving money for their own pockets by reducing the number of staff working at them? How did British airports operate before the UK joined the 'European Union'? If the UK is dependent on cheap labour from eastern European slum countries, then something's not right. There are plenty of unemployed Brits seeking work. Go to any British airport these days and it's hard to spot any employees of 'British origin'. "Having traveled extensively, from using airports described as being mature, well furbished to basic third world through to airports in conflict zones, I can honestly say that Manchester Airport is the worst airport that I have traveled through in the past forty years. The airport is untidy, dirty, and its only purpose appears to make money from its customers in any fashion possible."

There's also a tendency of Brexit supporters to dismiss any obvious problems as trivial detail.

Problem is, it's going up a further 5% in April. So in reality, a 9% increase in income but nothing much to show for it other than blue signs, endless tiers of worthless management and wider cycle paths. Are the cyclists being levied a proportionate increase?!! No! Our contribution is within the DEFRA grant through our taxes and through the upgrade work by sustrans tarmaccing the paths so we can go a lot faster. The benefit for boaters is a weed free towpath, oh and the joy of seed a blur of coloured Lycra brightening up your day.
