Bloody hell! I hope it all goes well with the tidying up. That sounds horrible! I sometimes have nightmares about the boat sinking. Usually in the dreams it just turns upside down rapidly. Quite alarming but has not happened so far!! The tidying up will take a while, as during the extinguising of the fire, I burnt most of the little bit of spare energy I had, so now I only do about 1 hour a day and if that doesn't change, it may be doneefore Christmas (don't ask me which year).
It doesn't only sound horrile, it is horrible.
Next time you're out of the water (I mean your boat of course) make a hatch in the bottom, just like they do with racing cats, then if the boat turns upside down, you can open the hatch and get out much easier than having to find your way out in a turned over boat.
Get this done only for you peace of mind, as if all is well, you'll never need to open that hatch.
Peter.

Does seem a lot I think there is an almost identical amphibious vehicle which is more modern and less expensive. Forgotten what its called.

well certainly interesting but boy ...... the price it does seem overpriced, I've seen fully restored Russian 8 wheel armoured amphibious vechles go for less.

i think that's the smaller, civilian version of the one delta posted a link to. Fiberglass rather than aluminium and half the payload.

apparently it's only 2 days work then it's good as new. When you think about it an eight wheel amphibious vechi le has a lot of openings to the water. Instead of one propshaft like on a boat, there are 17.

They must have at least one bilge pump running all the time. That would be a weak point if a pump failed.

Some of his kit lines the bank of the old river Nene on the Middle Level. www.russianmilitary.co.uk/index.phpOn the subject of military amphibious vehicles, I quite enjoyed this series, both with Lee Hurst and Suggs.

Bruce Roberts is a good name afaik, pair of Gardner 6LWs (yum) in there looks very nice indeed I could quite fancy that for a bit of Thames estuary and East coast liveaboard cruising. Serious bit of kit for just over £20k Only thing which bothers me a bit is it does look slightly top heavy.
