May jump on a bus and have a wander around the town.
What's recommended by you locals to the area ?
Even in Rotherham there are things worth seeing 😁

I caught the bus at Hartshill a few years ago and when I asked the driver for a ticket to Nuneaton he actually asked "are you sure"?!

I remember a great statue of George Eliot, a good charity shop (Mary Evans - her real name?), a fairly big Wetherspoons with an interesting clientele and lovely floral displays around the bus station. I'm sure ianali will be along soon with some good advice. Shame Dave/twerp probably won't...

This is because, despite all the eulogies concerning bakeries and the like, Nuneaton is not generally considered to be a desirable destination. I'm sure it may seem a rather odd perspective but one worth considering.

I don't fancy mooring in the town, but it's got to be worth a bus ride.
Have been once (and used the launderette you'll be unsurprised to hear) so we have seen the Mary Ann Evans statue.
Just curious if anything else is recommended.

Doesn't Pete's place warrant a mention?

Perhaps I lack the correct optical enhancement device.

I seem to recall a very big hole in the ground at Nuneaton. This was in 1994 so may have moved or been filled in since.
It was very big.

I always assumed that women from Bedworth were probably more healthy and useful than those from Nuneaton.
