I was looking at Starmer's shadow cabinet reshuffle reports and considering that this could be our government by next year.
In fairness the personnel are no less dynamic than those in the current cabinet.
I suspect the the Tories will be dispatched to the opposition benches as a result of their own incredible idiocy and self harm, giving the Labour party an unexpected and somewhat surprising opportunity to form a government.
I hope they are able to seize their moment but I fear we have burned our bridges in so many areas of policy.
Curious what others think ?

Six votes after 13 hours ... and 'couldn't care less' scores double the tory's so far.
No discussion so far would suggest a lack of interest in the subject matter?

To explain my choice of "Other". I think the only way to stop the party self-interest we have seen over the last few decades is to get hung parliaments where a coalition is the only way forward. That way, the party excess just might be slightly tempered. Otherwise, it would be Lib Dem as the only party in my constituency that stand any chance of beating a parrot with a blue rosette.

The Scandis seem to make coalition govs work. But maybe because it often turns out to be more than a 3-way split. The best we can hope for in that regard is 2-way and it never works out. Ask Cleggy.

I included 'other' because of the possibility of coalitions, which seems to be gaining ground amongst commentators but remains unlikely in what is our (effectively) two party system.
I'm sure we'll lurch government to government, with focus fixed on instant 'vote winning' policy.
It is incredible to believe how the present government has managed to spiral into chaos from their position of such strength after the last election.

I think he was more pleased with Labour's loss in what appeared at the time (how little we knew) to be the death of the London-focussed Labour policies and party.
But he's a grown up and can speak for himself.
