Looking at the aftermath, one thing that is noticeable, the Labour vote hardly rose in Tamworth and actually fell in Mid Beds. Most Conservative voters seem to have simply stayed at home. Not the triumph mainstream media and Labour would have us believe.

Given that the Reform.UK vote was higher than the labour majority in both constituencies, coupled with the fact that the turnout was abysmal, I don't think there is much cause for such labour optimism once the Rwanda system is bought in and some tax cuta promised.

It's a funny thing but I'm beginning to strongly suspect that there may be quite a few Tory faithful here on TB.
Next GE January 2025 (latest). It's a long way to Tipperary.

But my heart's right there. What's new, a bunch of elderly white men becoming more right wing as they age, though they struggle with the goose step and raising an arm these days. Thankfully some of us retain some youth, vote labour keep supple and young!

It's a long way to Tipperary. its one thing to accidentally become an unelected Prime Minister but what about when you are relying on people to actually Vote?

Nothing much will change anyway.

Not as a result of party politics though.
And ten years from now you'll still be saying the same stupid shit you do 😁

Just for a bit of fun Jim, who said this about Margaret Thatcher? "I always thought my job was to build on some of the things she had done rather than reverse them". Here's a clue. Margaret Thatcher once described him as "My greatest achievement".

A fan of accuracy yes. I never saw the creature on telly as we didn't have a telly.
