Life 'achievements' have no relationship whatsoever to one's intelligence. Einstein was living proof of this like incredibly obvious and totally rad true fact.

You could say that, I’m sure. But I wouldn’t say that. The Uk has not started any wars nor invaded any countries recently. So your attempt to draw a parallel fails. As to me being thick, well one of use has an engineering degree and won several prizes for doing clever things. For one of us the pinnacle of their career is driving around the place in a vehicle. So if I am thick, you are dense to the point of closely resemble a black hole. So there. So you are so unintelligent that you don't even know the difference between intelligence and education? Yes I do, intelligence has 12 letters whereas education only has 9. Simple!

Not being judgmental at all are we nick? Yes, but not how you think. Stabby can’t formulate an argument so immediately resorts to judging my intelligence. But instead of picking up on that, you pick up on my reaction to it. I therefore judge you to be a thick twat who will say anything to score pathetic points against people you perceive as your enemies. But we knew that already of course. Yes judging people by your own criteria. That you have admitted in this thread are not objective but very subjective. I might be upset if I had any respect for you and valued your opinion. But I don’t so I’m not.

It is probably related partly to school.
Some of these establishments are quite pushy. Its not clever to push potentially high achieving children. Let them be kids and when they have matured then let them be themselves.
I hate it when the teachers push too hard. I had that with maths. Was pushed through the GCSE one yar early got an A obviously then the teacher put me in a small group doing A/S level immediately. And Greek. Put me off maths and the classics completely. I did do Latin for A level but due to being given the family money at an early age and having been placed into the school while one yar older than the other boys I recognised the folly and legged it

Anyway, back to the dead Russians. Did they deserve it? About as much as the poofs deserved what Hitler gave them. I doubt that many, if any of the victims of the Moscow attacks were even alive when Putin came to power, so you'd have to be a bit dim to claim they elected him.

Anyway, back to the dead Russians. Did they deserve it? Anyone who lives in country with aggressive foreign policy is a target. Russians are a target of Ukranian 'terrorists' but not so sure about the islamists. Is Russia fucking with the floor kissers land somewhere?

In basic terms it is a land thing.
Fuck with other people's land and there will be trouble.
History is littered with this shit and its noticeable that the most impressive weapons and hardware ever devised by humans are non terrestrial.

I used to make the mistake of judging people's intelligence by their qualifications, job held, successes in life etc. I now realise that I was sadly mistaken. Those who gain these successes in life do so, primarily, through their drive and desire to achieve. Not all intelligent people have drive and desire to achieve. Or if they do, it could be that the fruits of their achievements are more hidden. Its a great shame when really clever people can't see the wood because of the trees being in the way. Campaign for clever people to deliberately do nothing. I'm not sure about the campaign, but it's fun to deliberately do nothing while watching the apparent intelligence of some successful people wither away in a melee of contradictions etc., as they vie for a higher placing in the popularity stakes. Best of all though is their simple talk, whilst pretending to be profound. As if their intelligence is such that the mere mortals below them will hang on to every word. I really like that. A decent example of this was Biden's 'profound' statement: 'all we wish to do is to make sure people pay their fair share' (referring to taxes). So profound that he repeated 'fair share' twice. Yes Sleepy Joe, we all agree with that. Anyone with any intelligence would know this. The profound question should be: 'what constitues a fair share?'

The Chechens don't exactly see eye-to-eye with the Russian bear.

Anyway, back to the dead Russians. Did they deserve it? 183 concert goers died. They must have gone there full of joy, excitement, expectation and looking forward to a fun evening. Horrible and unnecessary. Rog

The Chechens don't exactly see eye-to-eye with the Russian bear. I thought this had been sorted out. Deliberate nasty acts are always worth considering. It is a bit likely that this Russian thing was state organised but at the end of the day if you are trying to run a large ship with a heck of a lot of people on it there are going to be problems trying to make omelettes without breaking eggs.

I feel for the Russians. Not because I've particularly enjoyed their company in the many times that our paths have crossed. Generalising, you'd be hard pressed to find another nation of people so surly, rude and obnoxious.
However: How might we be, if we'd suffered decades of overpowering government and extreme socialism. We too might not smile very much, or trust people who smile without good reason, if smiling government officials watched over our every move. If the whole world hated us, as it did Russia, even before it invaded Ukraine, might we ourselves operate under a permanent state of siege mentality.
So to me, Russians are just like everyone, everywhere else. That is, they are a product of their culture. So I'll give them a break. Besides, they have a beautiful, soulful national anthem, quite unlike the dirge we're expected to stand for.
