Out of idle curiosity I was looking at Canal Plan to see how many miles and locks it is from Warwick to Browning's Pool, London.
Seems it's 120 miles and 115 wide locks.
The site's good for that sort of loose planning.
We'll probably deviate to shop and use the launderette at Rugby, and pick up service parts at Armada Boats just outside Newbold, which will add six narrow locks (Hillmorton twice) and about 8 miles.
So far we've done about 10 miles and 12 locks ... not a race 😁
