Never mind that, where's the steak and kidney pudding gone? well if Andrews reasoning is correct they could be adorning the shelves of a German supermarket it's nice to know that thanks to the efforts of the incoming (?) PM we will be opening up the pork trade with China.

that's not a part of speech (noun, adjective, etc.); it's a tense (of verb).
correct answers on a postcard and then throw it in the bin please. Silly me - got my conjugations confused with my declensions. It has been a (very) long time. sounds like dogging confusion.
Shirley there should be a published dress code to ensure there are no Miss Under Standings ?

...................... so if the opening and closing brackets do not compute should we imminently expect the apocalypse today or tomorrow or tomorrow's tomorrow? Or perhaps it should be expect the imminent apocalypse?
BTW, if we expect something to happen tomorrow what part of speech is tomorrow?

what is the etiquette for placing brackets in a sentence when does one do this i find i put things in brackets quite a lot seems a bit sloppy to me (.) I often use brackets (because it portrays a sub clause that adds detail or explanation (what mr dogless would call mansplaining)). But what is very important is that the number of opening brackets must be matched by the number of closing brackets (otherwise the programme wonβt compile). ...................... so if the opening and closing brackets do not compute should we imminently expect the apocalypse today or tomorrow or tomorrow's tomorrow? Or perhaps it should be expect the imminent apocalypse?
