Tony ...... I have refrained from a lot of this crap but to keep on threatening as you have been is just bloody ridiculous
You know damn well that the main protaganists you have are not going to comply .... period
as the saying goes .... shit or get off the pot
Threatening what, . . to leave ProBoards to deal with a situation that the supposedly active membership of this supposedly self-moderating forum has sat on its collective thumbs on top of its communal fence and failed to deal with itself ? Some threat ! then just bloody do it or take legal action
As I said, threatening and repeating yourself and your (often abusive to bystanders) posts over and over again seems to have lost you every vestige of any support you once had.

The sun still rises and sets Rog Not for very much longer on the Thunderboat forum, . . not unless the active membership acts on this :- As all Thunderboat members, participating or non-participating, will know, the forum is not subject to formal moderation in the way internet forums usually are, but relies instead on self-moderation by its members. One of the more active members - Mr Stabby (Vince Coventon) - has, over a period of some 5 years been amusing himself by posting a variety of offensive and libellous material, mostly directed at me, on the pages of Thunderboat, . . and until quite recently this has amounted to no more than a minor and inconsequential irritation originating from an ill-intentioned moron with some sort of imaginary axe to grind. Of late, however, the content posted by Mr Stabby (Vince Coventon) has reached a level, and a tone, that cannot and will not be allowed to continue. A look through the first few of the member's 'Recent Posts' will illustrate and confirm this. It is, therefore, time for Thunderboat's membership to exercise the powers of self-moderation it has at its disposal. At this stage, I am prepared to let the matter drop, and take no further action in relation to the Thunderboat forum itself, or its hosts ProBoards, provided that Mr Stabby (Vince Coventon) is compelled by the membership to :- 1) Permanently take down all the posts deemed by me to be unacceptable in any way or form, . . and to undertake that there will be no repeat posting of the same or similar malicious falsehoods, unsubstantiated allegations, or knowing distortions of fact or truth. 2) Apologise publicly and unreservedly for the content of all the offending posts, . . and publish an admission that all the offending material was posted in the absence of any reasonable grounds or other valid reason for so doing. _______________________________________________________________ Tony ...... Impressive JohnV ... noticed you'd been fairly quiet lately and I can see why π Rog The plumbing has been .... eventful (the bilges are now dry again, thankfully)
The existing system needed major alterations .... the wheelhouse becoming a seperate zone instead of all in. a new route for the convection for the new cooker
(replacing the well past it's best Rayburn Royal with an Eastern European version) and plumbing in a totally independent Whispergen system but with the two tied together
using a heat exchanger.
Sat down yesterday and started working out the wiring for the pumps/boiler/zones and the interconnect for the cooker (excluding the Whispergens own panel)
This morning was up early and got it all drawn out so it can go in the file
Now all I've got to do is wire it up to the drawing and hope I've worked it out ok

next stage !!! Whispergen into engine room and on it's base plate. went very well, crane lifted it off the expansion tank and onto deck, (with great difficulty) managed to sack barrow it along deck difficult because it weighs more than I do, so getting it tipped back to be able to wheel it was ..... probably entertaining for anyone watching
Swing lift coped with lifting it and lowering down the engine 'ole although that's it's maximum loading.
Inched it down the beams and onto the bed ..... took my time and kept tying it off every few inches.
glad that's done ...... knackered now !!!

Parasols are good ..... proper ones that is not the shaggy varieties (they're ok but I don't think there as nice as the big ones) if you get the big ones before they are opened up pop them in batter and fry them (just dip and fry the head ignore the stalk and cut it off when cooked) The Italians call them ..... erm ...... I can't remember but it is the name for those drum sticks with the large round head they use on marching bass drums and you are totally safe picking them, there is no other mushroom a foot high and looking just like ..... errrm a parasol
eta beaten by A !!!
incidentally the parasol shown in the you tube clip is probably a shaggy parasol Lapiota Rhacodes the bigger type looks almost the same but bigger
(150mm to 300mm tall as oposed to the max 150mm tall of Rhacodes) and is Lapiota Procera

just back from shopping so toast and tea for brekkie .... toast cooled off enough then buttered but with ginger preserve not marmalade
(sacrilege I know but the ginger is nearly empty and needs finishing and there isn't a jar of marmalade open)
Mmmm ... Mackays or Tiptree? Mackays, although I do have a fondness for Tiptree preserves, especailly Little Scarlet Conserve

Shocked and amazed to find butter STILL "only" Β£1.75 in M&S today! I have a whole shelf in my fridge now devoted to my third, fourth, fifth one of my favourite things.... Cor !!! it's Β£1.80 something in Morrisons this morning ....(but I put some in the freezer a few weeks ago so I'm stocked up)
Not been using as much for a while as I have been avoiding bread (which is where I use the most ) as I'm still on my diet
although I have stayed exactly the same weight for the last 3 months whatever I do
(still I musn't complain too much as I am still a stone lighter than I was in January)
