My ten year old woke up Sunday with a fever and felling very poorly, she has Covid. And not doing great but she is a soldier so bearing up well. Ironically the three of us who have been vaccinated haven't caught it, I'm sure that's just confidence. hope she recovers nice and quickly

well apart from half a million (official figures) Well, this is it. You believe the 'official figures' - whereas you prefer ones from the wildest of the conspiritorialists

I have never been asked for a "covid pass" or any other proof af vaccine status nor had to have a test to show I was clear BFG is right, yes it is all over, bar the shouting, it has now mutated into an endemic disease with a much lower pathenogenesis things in this country are rapidly returning to normal Yet you have a 'Covid/Vaccination Pass' (it's on your NHS/NHSX files) - and you will be asked to show your 'vaccination status' is you wish to leave the UK. I expect you're still wearing a face mask in shops - but, perhaps that's only "out of politeness" in an attempt to make others feel safe? If you travel to another country you will be expected to take tests, and be quarantined if a test comes up with a 'positive result' (even if one of those 50% false positives). no ........ it's no longer a legal requirement
Other countries rules are other countries rules, for years I used to need cholera and Yellow fever innoculations before being allowed into other countries ..... so what's new ?
I was talking about this country .... not what Johnny foreigner gets up to

This measure was conceived when the Delta variant was the main threat. This was when you were ranting and raving and saying everyone in India was going to die of 'Delta' (formerly called the Indian variant, but changed so as not to offend Indians who donate generously to the Conservative Party). Well, they're all still alive 'n' kicking in India, so it wasn't much of a 'threat', was it? I think we have to take everything you post with a very large pinch of salt. Bucket, maybe. ps - it's 'balance'. well apart from half a million (official figures) with a general belief among external authorities that is probably 2 or 3 times that ..... and that is just the country of India not including Bangladesh and Pakistan

This measure was conceived when the Delta variant was the main threat. It was also a very possible scenario that a further even worse variant was going to appear.
Like all measures it was a ballance between opposing forces. They obviously believed that at that time it was justified.
When the information about the Omicron variant was known it should have been obvious that the ballance was changed.
(it seems to have been to all but officials)
That is the point at which "follow the science" should have shown the measure should be dropped.
Whole row was unnecessary

there is a bit of a difference between UK and WA ....... dummy Countries were not specified. Anyway, if you think "it's all over" because some people aren't wearing face masks in England, I think you're just kidding yourself. The 'Vaccine Passes' aren't going anywhere now, it's open blackmail: take the jabs and your Pass for travel (and restaurants, shops, etc.) remains valid - refuse the jabs and your Pass will become invalid. It's medical fascism, having to prove you are 'healthy' everywhere you go. The bfg will be testing himself with LFTs forever so he can get into 'venues', and you'll be off for your 4th and 5th jabs this year - exactly as I predicted. When I predicted on here that there'd be a 2nd and 3rd jab I was labelled as a 'conspiracy loon' - of course, when people on here actually went and got their 2nd and 3rd jabs they somehow all "knew it was going to happen like that and that anyone could have predicted it." Happy to see my suspicions confirmed. I don't think you realise just how bad the situation is even in Europe with the tyranny using Covid as an excuse. I can't think of any country you can now go to without having to show your 'Vaxx Pass / Covid certificates', with tests and the threat of quarantine. All Covid laws/rules/regulations are not going to be lifted - they have been brought in to control populations, and to make money. The ruse continues because people have been made to fear 'a virus'. The virus that can't get you when you sit down in theatres and restaurants.... this would be laughable if it weren't for the damage it has already done to society. I expect another 'variant' - more dangerous! - will be released soon from SAGE headquarters, to keep the pot bubbling. dummy was probably kind ........ blind and stupid is probably more accurate BFG's first few words said Australians

The Australians certainly make us look like the lake back ones. This is a list of premises that you need to be vaccinated to visit in that state,. The staff are required to be vaccinated as well. All hospitality venues, food and licensed venues: including restaurants, dine-in fast food, cafés, bars, pubs, clubs, taverns, licensed commercial boats And yet here you were a few days ago saying 'Vaccination Passes' were not required to be shown for restaurants and pubs. Have you turned into some sort of 'conspiracy nutter'? Or are you now willing to admit I was speaking the truth? And that you were wrong? there is a bit of a difference between UK and WA ....... dummy

strong enough to make the moorings creak a bit but nothing like Saturday (at least here)

there are without doubt some absolutely stupid things being said and done by idiots on both sides of the debate that makes me think my earlier post was, if anything, understating the case. That definitely reads like hysteria
although thinking further, this will probably be their first wave of Covid as they have been locking themselves away from the world since the start.
They have had plenty of time to vaccinate and this is Omicron, and much less dangerous than the earlier variants

Like Andrew I agree with a lot of your grievances and I have always supported your position and would love to see these matters properly adjudicated by a high authority.
I have to agree again with Andrew about the presentation of your case (on here at any rate)
(I also have not time for the attitudes and comments that have been made by those who have opposed you on here.)
Very few of us have the patience to deal with opposition in the same way that Nigel used to but his methods did seem to be effective
