Seems that such a thread is needed sadly, and to start it off let's welcome... bodger: oh, god, is she really living inside that craphole? who painted the blacking on the roof FF's sake? did she really do that herself? needs to be sectioned IMHO. I guess this is one of the hazards of an un moderated forum. Twats(sorry Tomsk for borrowing your word) are allowed free reign and there are those whose filter between mind and mouth does not exist.
IMO for whats its worth...probably diddley squat in this era where Freedom of Speech flies free....I think before any of us hits post on verbal crap, stop, consider..would you want someone to say that to your mum?/nearest and dearest?...if the answer is no then don't hit that button....

What can I say I know her and like her, no need for any of this at all life is hard already without idiots giving free reign I suspected that she might well be someone I'd like if I ever met her (not that that's at all likely). It was after all the snidey comments fired at her on CW that I suggested to her in PM that she might find the atmosphere here somewhat less judgmental. However I sent that PM on the 17th of last month and it remains unread. Besides, it appears that I may have been wrong, reading some of the posts about her on here. |

To an extent I agree with you. I always forget the 'public' is watching this forum, I mean, anyone round the world can be reading everything on Thunderboat - perhaps Fidel Castro was laughing in bed this year. I notice a lot of British actors have died this year so maybe they have been laughing their heads off too, having logged in here. So, yes, we should remember that. Of course, I'd say 99% of the visitors are from Canalworld and CRT. And then, I get the feeling that one is stifled when it comes to talking about mental health, and we're not allowed to use the M word (mad). If someone is as mad as the proverbial hatter, then they are. This is a free-for-all forum so let people say what they want, I haven't seen any nasty comments here about (whisper) and of course even Ricco's comment was meant in jest. Those that make seriously bad-choice comments will either soon realise it and edit their post or simply be left with the other members muttering " What??"
'Round the bend', 'nuttier than a fruitcake' and 'Loony Tunes' - as long as you're not a danger or a menace to others, what of it? I think we all know that probably every member of Thunderboat is a person of the calibre to help those who need it, so I find it really easy to look through my fingers at the light-hearted jokes. It's not good healthwise to be serious 100% of the time. Well done to those members of Thunderboat & Canalworld who have already made an effort to be of assistance  |
