I am currently looking for bits for the beast! I need a new fuel spill rail I need a exhaust manifold gasket I need a rocker cover gasket I need a thermostat + gasket[jammed open] I would like 4 x injectors good ones
I can get everything but the spill rail from ASAP supplies and the injectors can be tested and reconned but you never know people do have these things hidden away and might now want rid of them

www.budgetchandlery.com/spillrail-steel-with-threaded-end-bango-947-p.aspDoes it currently have a spill rail with flexible pipe? If so it IS still a bss pass as long as the pipe used is suitable. Ford 1.6/1.8 injectors can't have a solid spill rail fitted due to the design of the injectors. ISO 7840 marked hose isn't available in the small diameter required, the OE braided type available from motor factors is perfectly acceptable for a BSS pass.

Its broke between the last injector and the filter the link has worked and I think I need to buy it plus the other stuff on the list. I want the boat to be right for its next owner not just a bodged up thing waiting for the next breakdown

I want the boat to be right for its next owner not just a bodged up thing waiting for the next breakdown In that case you are very likely to have the new one fail. Some BMC marinisations have an appallingly thin and poorly designed flue filter bracket that allows the filter to vibrate and snap the pipe as described. When a friends boat did this "up the cut" I forced aa bit of wood between bracket and engine block. It was still there years later. Inspect the filter with the engine running at a variety of revs. If you do find the bracket vibrates talk to Calcutt Boats about a stronger one and the other parts. If you have the skills there is no reason not to fabricate a suitable bracket yourself.

Cheers Tony there is a vibrating noise present at certain revs which could be the problem that broke the pipe in the first place. Would i be better just using normal spill pipe for this last leg back to the filter

It would be a cheaper and easier fix (not bodge) especially if it has a fuel filter bracket that is less than adequate.
Remember, that braided spill hose is fine in a car for many many thousands of miles.
I heard a story rigid spill rails got dropped from going from advisory to mandatory after a leading light in the bss scheme had his recently swapped from flexi to rigid spill rail fracture and dump the contents of his fuel tank in the bilge off the East coast....

It is one of my pet hates to have to do something for doings sake as you say a lot of cars do 150k without issues with flexi spill pipes

But as I understand it the BSS requirement is for fire resistant purposes, not mechanical strength. If a fuel lone spits in a car the fuel runs over the road, not into a bilge where it will just feed any fire.

Nope, in this instance it is a suitable material (OE engine manufacturers spec) as 7840 isn't available for this application - if it was mandatory then all the Ford 1.6/1.8 engined boats would fail and need a different engine fitting.

I will have a look at the filter for movement because the buzz is really annoying and expensive if it destroys the pipes

AIUI the requirements may be more relaxed if you fit a non return valve in the spill line return?
Problem with these wonderful well intentioned schemes like BSS is they often specify a solution and not the problem to be solved.
