Shame for them, they are not going to get it all there own way. [ I'll see Richard parry tmw anything you think I should say to him. br]Regards kris Ps. As for not seeing, i think a lot of people see it. But don't want to believe it, so it's easier to bury there head in the sand. Ask him why the trust is breaking the law over the Tadworth farce. ( then punch him ) Okay I was thinking of telling him if crt steal my boat first I'll sink it before letting them take it. ( in the most arkward place.) then when I've got no where to live I'm going to camp out in his garden ( I'm sure it's big enough.) but hey maybe I'm just reactionary.

Its a lot of political speak bollocks, no substance, no details just mealy mouthed sentiments. Build marinas, increase offline moorings, keep prices affordable. Sorted.
would it be possible to build affordable marinas in london

There has been much discussion, a lot of research, and endless possibilities. Each has been rejected by the trust. Community moorings were on the table at one point, along with suggested sites etc. CRT would lend an ear, but if it looked as though there may be some success, a spanner was thrown into the workings. The IWA even got involved at one point, researching sites and making proposals, but nothing came of it. I suggest that CRT have an end game, but they are hiding it under the table.

With the best of intentions, I'd like to see more affordable HOUSINGE for those boaters who live on boats because they can't afford to live any other way. Tiny flats, for example.
That would help leave the canals to those who actually want to be on them, also providing for the needy in a better place.
The lazy work-shy benefit grabbers can go take a running jump.

The lazy work-shy benefit grabbers can go take a running jump. [ You do know that the vast majority of benefits get paid to peolple in work, that can't afford to live because robbing corporations refuse to pay a decent wage. Let alone the taxes that they are due to pay.

It would be prohibitively expensive to build marinas within London I agree but there were plenty of old docks and the like in Londond which would have made great marinas if the developers hadnt got there first and made them shiny posh white boat only zones. Limehouse springs to mind. £10k a year for a mooring is ridiculous, central london or otherwise. Community moorings sounds like a good idea but the sticking point imo could be NBTA wanting CRT to take responsibilities as a landlord, something which I think is wholly wrong. They are the landowner/leaseholder of the track/canal but should not have to provide everything a landlord does.

I'm referring to the many who lie around all day, playing on their PS4s and huge tellies, perfectly able to work but prefer to live a slob's life.

While I don't deny there are some of this particular stereo type around, I think you'll find they are a very small minority.
