I've only associated 'Fanboy' with things like the VW scene, Lewis Hamilton, Man Utd, Hudsons, that sort of thing. I think Gareth is using words he doesn't really grasp the concept of. Cliques? coming from a CWDF member, hang on, oh yes, Ha! Ha! Ha, Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! That's a good un, like it, who's your funny friend?! I thought a fan boy was someone you hire briefly to keep you cool during unusually hot weather. I say old bean, here in the Raj, that's a punkah wallah.

It could possibly prevent the forum from becoming mainstream so perhaps the forum owner could look at banning people who are too annoying. Oh. 'Bye then, magnetman! Bye

What's a fan boy? And cliques, here. Really? Had to look it up: "A passionate fan of various elements of geek culture (e.g. sci-fi, comics, Star Wars, video games, anime, hobbits, Magic: the Gathering, etc.), but who lets his passion override social graces." "A fanboy (or fangirl) is a person considered to belong to one or more fandoms to a point of obsession." Doesn't make any sense to me. I can't think of anyone here who is obsessed with anything. Oh, apart from Magnetman with his 'hate' obsession and tomsk with his obsession of wanting to know the intimacies of kris's sanitary facilities. Exactly. Perhaps Gareth would like a dictionary (although online ones save bookshelf space)

Everywhere can appear to be cliquey to an outsider (including Thunderboat). I've watched this forum for some time and recently started posting, the result was people seemed to think I was a sockpuppet - not very welcoming! My posts might be stupid but why not say so rather than think I'm someone's wife?

I didn't think you were a sock puppet ..... however I was a bit puzzled by your post re the "post" (although I didn't comment) ... (presumably you have a problem with a desmo as well ? and were trying out a "mod") but I can understand how some people put 2 and 2 together and made a dozen (Foxeys thought processes often leave me amazed) I do hope that I didn't come over as "unfriendly" I certainly didn't wish to

Cliques can be ok - the 'Unstable Bar' thread is a clique - I think even foxey doesn't understand the rules. I understand that there is a bit of a history surrounding why this forum exists and I accept that history.

Nobody understands the rules of the "unSTABLE bAR" (Except possibly the Coate Faerie and even he has to study the rule books)
