The train from leeds is easy and cheapish. So you could go and pick it up. But who is it addressed to, mr snot gobbler, or iconoclast, or NB Desiree.

I sent you a PM via TB. Gawd. I'll contact them and ask them to hold it for us when we get there. It contains something you might desiree.... (not money though) Just checked my inbox, nothing there from you in the last few months??? Checked my PM box this morning - no evidence! I did, however, send you a PM a couple of weeks ago, and also have mentioned it publicly about a week ago (on the Desiree thread, I guess). Never mind, we'll pick it up and send it on. The lady who answered the phone at Pennine Cruisers was cheery and polite, and said they'd be happy for me to send it, so full marks to Pennine Cruisers Credit where credit's due. I'm just glad I didn't ask Cherie Blair to deliver it to you, as I suspect she might have stolen it.

Thanks. You'll have to report back.
Last time we did it C&RT towed the boat through and we walked over the tops with the dogs.
Now you take it through yourself.
Best part of three hours underground sounds like hard work.

Well, now I am at lock 15E on the HNC. Very pretty canal, some of the pounds are very short of water, I've been bouncing along the bottom for a lot of it. I'm with another boater who is booked at Standedge Tunnel on the same day as me, and he only has a 1' 10" draught (mine is 2' 3") so he's been going ahead and running water down as needed, other pounds higher up are full to overflowing so where the water is going is a bit of a mystery.

There is one pound there which is always nearlly empty and you need to to run water down. Anyway, I thought we might bump into you on the way up the T&M from the Caldon but we are already on the Llangolan now. Not too busy for a bank holiday either. Only 5 in the queue this morning...
