Chlorine, Zyklon B, and now CO2.

Here's a lot of people dreadfully worried about air pollution, Global Warming, Climate Change.... you name it, they'll fly there to see it!! goo.gl/photos/9E2wmutDV5Li1Ko67 Isn't it staggering how many planes are on the hoof over the skies of Europe?

I think if you do the math jet travel works out to have a better mpg per person-mile travelled than the average road vehicle. So its not that bad.
Noise pollution is another topic.

Googling, I see that Germany's use of coal (all types) for production of electricity only fell by half of one percent by last year And they use brown coal which is the worst polluter! But when I used it at the cottage it used to burn to a fine powder perfik

Slightly more impact? also the aviation industry is expanding, whereas 1970's vdubs are on the decline or at least stationery in numbers.

Yes a different scale but I thought the point Foxy was making was that people who worry a lot about air pollution still use jet travel, which is a completely unnecessary form of transport. Seems a bit of a contradiction like eco worriers using vw campers.

I don't give a toss about air quality and ave only been on half a dozen flights in my lifetime. Its when people seem to have "issues" with air quality but do not demonstrate it with their behaviour which really gets my goat. Campfires. Wtf? Shocking.
