Is this an Indian runner. Saw a few on the Macclesfield at Easter. My Auntie had some, it's hard to tell in the water, it's when they get out they stand up very tall and straight.

I well remember having a fight with a fox one night. We were on the Broads, our mooring backed onto marsh and I heard a lot of squawking one night, so went to investigate and found a fox with a goose's neck clamped in it's jaws, the fox didn't want to let go despite the application of my boot. Eventually the fox let go and disappeared into the marsh. The Greylag goose appeared unharmed, no sign of injury or blood so I crated it for the night so I could check it out in daylight but sadly it succumbed to shock and was no longer with us. I launched the corpse into the marsh so I reckon the fox got his supper albeit a bit late. Phil
