The man at my local post office is quite friendly with me but if my other half goes in there he's not very friendly. I reckon he's a poof or a mysoginist (or both). Maybe you have a carpet munching man hater post office clerk?

Well that's strange, the original post seems to have disappeared?

Well that's strange, the original post seems to have disappeared? Maybe he changed his mind... The trouble is, it's made Saltysplash look like the original poster now. The actual original poster has flounced from Thunderboat at least three times now, let's hope this time he stays away for good.

I'm not being un-nice. The OP started a thread, then deleted the post after it had received replies, making it look as though the thread had been started by somebody else. Why would anybody in their right mind do that?

It's certainly weird, I for one thought more of salty than that. It turns out I'm right and it's not him.
Who was it.

True, although it's fair comment to point out that Saltysplash was not the thread starter, as it now appears. If Andy no longer wished to post here, then the obvious and simplest solution would have been for him to just stop posting here.

Is it ok for people with mental health issues to post what they like on internet forums and with impunity?, because if anybody challenges them or disagrees with them they will be branded 'unkind or similar.

No, definitely not. However in this case the person has decided to make a point of quitting posting, then had second thoughts (about doing so publicly). This is hardly an outrageous action that needs to be "challenged" or disagreed with. It might not be something you or I would do, but so what? I just don't see a need to attack the person for it. Although of course, this place is populated by so many inadequate people looking for someone even less robust than they are to bully, so I suppose I'm wasting my breath.
