I'm just planning to spend all my money before I snuffit, and die in a place that's inconvenient.

The way my finances are currently arranged, my savings will expire along with me. If I were to die today, there would be no way for anyone to access them.

Well, there would be a way to access them see "Intestacy" in the OP. It would cost your family £215 to get Grant Of Administration and then they could access your savings. Writing a will would cost less and avoid the need for GoA if you don't have large amounts of savings and dont own a property.

No, the way I have things organised nobody can access the funds unless they are me, they aren't stored in a conventional manner. No banks, safety deposit boxes, shares, property or anything like that.

Sort of, I'm sure D9 doesn't shred every piece of correspondence from the institutions tha hold hos money so a search of his premises would yield some info. The Personal Representative (that's what the executor is called in the case of intestacy) can redirect his mail so sooner or later they would get statements and it is possible to do a search of banks, building societies to see if he had accounts with them. It can be done, I didn't say it would be easy!!!

There are no institutions involved, no mail relating to it, and literally no way for anyone to access them unless they can access the content stored within my brain.

I can access the funds from anywhere in the world at any time.

I envisage wads of large denomination notes in poly bags stuffed up his person where the sun don't shine!

Even China Yes. Well tell someone you trust then! Put it in your will, in safe storage, so it can only be accessed by your executor on production of your death certificate.
