Cruise ship "Astor" near Greenwich peninsular yesterday. View was from the 26th floor of the Citi Group building at Canary wharf. Blocked by the building to the right a rotortug was following - going backwards. Millenium dome is hidden by the vertical sided building to left of photo. The little black boat in the middle to the right is a Thames ligher about 85ft long !!

I love the sail Patty Keeps me out of mischief..I make 'fleets' of reed and bamboo rafts and set them sail wherever I can...u don't see kids being taught these skills nowadays My kids all remember me making them when they grew up..son number 3 apparently also makes them according to his girlfriend. I like to think that his raft they went down the river in Borneo is based on my teaching....however in reality twas Bear Grylls programme that gave them the expertise to actually make one that worked for real....

(it could very well be that he hates these) What did he say about the urgent need to repaint the hull of his barge ? Peter.

Boats are meant to have wet bottoms at all times. No biscuits. No cakes.
