No problems with 3 up in the 'True North' five hours shy of the Arctic Circle. It's probably because we use Telia. That'll be the same Telia that's in bed with Huawei, you know that Mickey Mouse Chinese telco network suppliers, to develop & supply your 5G networks! 😂😂👍 About 3 years ago there was a change to our ADSL provider/system (Elisa-Saunalahti) and we got a new modem for 'free' from our provider - ZyXEL - Made in China. Sometimes the Internet stops and is always resolved by turning the modem off and on again. I was wondering should we ask for a new modem, but yesterday the Witch, who has been reading up on this kind of thing, suggested first we could swop the over-long cable from telephone socket to modem for a shorter one. So yesterday afternoon (whilst someone here was looking up fornicating fox pictures and sending them to Delta) in my tea break I went to the Tekniset store in Kannus and asked if they had a shorter cable. Yes, they did, in the back room, and they said they don't really sell cables any more like that, this was just one they still happened to have because everyone is using a wireless modem with 4G these days - it gets it's signal from the local mast, and your computer gets the signal from the modem via WiFi (or somesuch system). And would I like to buy one? I said we'll try the new cable first. The 'modem box' was Huawei, yes. I've been looking for a new mobile phone these past 2 weeks and have become sort of familiar with what's what. Let's say this, that I won't be buying a cheap-but-cheerful-for-5-minutes shitty Huawei phone. On the other hand, if the Chinese are so great, why don't we chuck Mrs May and her Conservative Government out and have some Chinese running Britain as they do such a good job? Ever had a Chinese takeaway? They can't do beef properly, can they? Chewy-chewy rubbery slices.
