Welcome Cygnus glad that you kept John looked after. Hope you have managed to repaint the damaged section of rail John is there any more sections that need strength testing? No I can't paint it yet ...... it needs to get that pitted nearly knackered look ..... so that it matches the rest of the boat That's exactly why I haven't painted all of the work I've done on the bow yet.

If it's not "just in time " deliveries & a commodity that can be stockpiled & used as & when & there is not a time limit on delivery (within reason ) then it's a no brainer water transport every time & power unit that in a truck moves 40 odd tons but a boat if size allows the same HP unit will move a couple of hundred if not more weight no road congestion for other users but the UK in their wisdom tried canals, rail, road, back partly to rail, & now the highways are cluttered with various sized trucks & are now looking to ban/limit trucks from built up areas & the next fad "Leccy" vehicles what method are they going to use to transport the fuel source or the extra number /running of power stations
