Some youth hostels wot I have been to. If the last stamp is Tyncornel, I hope you visited before electrickery was installed, and I doubt you hitched there. My mis-spent youth also involved many YH trips from about 14 yrs old onwards (I think 14 was the youngest you could stay without an adult). A few years later I spent time running Snowdon Ranger YH as well as providing cover at Harlech. Happy days.

I can't remember how far it was, but several miles. There wasn't any electricity or running water, I used to prefer the simpler hostels. I stayed at Blaencaron the night before and Bryn Poeth Uchaf the night after. I discovered later that some 95% of the world's LSD production (I was very much into LSD at the time) was occurring at a small cottage just a few miles away from where I was staying.

Heard today I'm not working this Saturday so I wonder if I should photograph my Youth Hostel card stamps and slap them up here? Yes, of course.

I shall have a go tomorrow morning. I know where the cards are, so just a matter of putting the camera on the tripod...

Can't you just hold the camera above the cards and take a pic pointing downwards?

My christian name at birth was Ossian never been to the Loch though. Sounds nice. I changed my name to andrew when I was 11 due to wankers at school using it as a bullying aid. It was a twatty name to be fair !! Ossian is a good Gallic name.

Yes it is a nice name. Not when you are ten years old though... which is why I was keen not to give my own kids unusual names (Zahra and Leila) its not fair as it gives others ammunition for bullying which is not good.
