Jane's Mum's in hospital so we've been on the road a lot. On the plus side I have been initiated into the world of Greggs. A fair bacon butty and a reasonable cup of coffee for £2.00. Definitely recommended if you're in a rush. Turns out Jane's got a loyalty card and Greggs breakies have been a guilty secret Rog

I do visit them but quite rarely.
Have you seen you can buy their stuff in Iceland.
I prefer to go to a cafe and have a plate full of grease, also a rarity but a more regular one.

Greasy spoon takes too long when you're rushing, but I agree a fry-up occasionally is ambrosia.
By the way, I liked your post on CWDF in reply to Mr Marshall, but I suspect we waste our time on there.
I've realised (taken a long time) that you either have to agree with the collective voice, or face ridicule over there.
At least here you'll be called a 'twat' then everyone moves on.

Twat
I have never been in Gregg's but I do like a greasy spoon caff.
I find the branding of Gregg's disagreeable.

Not tried a bacon butty from Gregg's, but their pies and pasties are cheap greasy shit.

Rog It's a shame really. It wasent so much his view but it's a view I see on there a lot. I am very interested in doing the bcn challange and for a laugh I would definitely fly a thunder boat flag for harmless fun. I'm not sure if some people will see the funny side. And for clarification that's not aimed at Mr Marshall. They enjoyed a read then go running back all shocked. Personally they should join up. If they want robust debate. This would be the ideal place.

The mut loves Greggs! I do sometimes as well. couple of luke warm sausage rolls can really help you out when you have had a tough day.

Don't know about Greggs pies and pasties.
The coffee and bacon butty are good especially at two quid. They only serve it up to 11am. If you're in a rush it's a good breaky.
I need to stop reading the other place. Every now and again I get incensed by some comments and feel compelled to respond. But the truth is it serves no purpose.
When people respond passing judgement on posts they haven't even read, where is the discussion?
Telemachus and Jenlyn, for example, have argued with me heatedly, without showing disrespect and always showing willing to at least listen to my views.

I don't know specically about the thread on cwdf, nor do I intend to find out but generally I'd say I hope they stay where they are and don't pollute this forum. They are the reason I don't like cwdf, they stifle discussion. Do you really want that blinkered repetitive nonsense on here too?

Do I?..don't I?...nope not going over to see, I'm here now...
And sausage and egg macmuffin sounds an evil sort of start to the day..Im not a fry up/greasy spoon/macd's/gregs foodie...breakfast is the one meal I do like to start the day right and prefer fruit/yoghurt/muesli or boiled eggs...rest of the day goes downhill health wise.

I have always LOVED breakfast, it's my favorite meal by a mile. I especially like a two course breakfast (as a "every now & then" treat) consisting of....
1st - fresh fruit salad w/ yogurt OR a couple of waffles with Maple syrup
2nd - small piece of grilled steak, fried egg, hash browns, grilled seasoned tomatoes, mushrooms, couple pieces of bacon, a sausage and toast with strawberry or blackberry jam
obviously with coffee & Baileys and OJ or Apple juice with the 1st course
Dave normally forgoes the 1st, and instead of having a piece of steak with his 2nd will have beans & black pudding (Yuck)!!
Oh, and he doesn't have jam on his toast either, but like marmalade instead....again Yuck!!
